Hyatt Regency Cleveland At The Arcade

The hotels descrption is a bit ...misleading..

Sure the Arcade sits in the middle of downtown Cleveland but...ALL OF THE SHOPS INSIDE OF THE ARCADE CLOSE...EARLY. And there are not alot of shops inside of the Arcade. You could tell that the hotel used to be a premiere spot but due to the economy in Cleveland it has really fallen apart. It is nice for the price but you could DO ALOT BETTER.

great location, needs upgrades.

Nice downtown spot for any a cavs or an indiands game, but look out of the hidden charges for parking and internet charges. For the price you pay for the room you would think you could get those thing for free. but over all i would stay there again.

Overpriced

Room was very basic. No chairs, no tables, no sofa. Only 2 full size beds and a bathroom. Paid way too much for a bed and TV. Try the Cleveland Renaisance Hotel instead.

So-so room for your money

The room was very small however seemed recently updated. the view was HORRIBLE....it was the roof and the sounds were fans from the restaruant below when asking for a new room i was told they were completely booked so make sure you request a good view ahead of time. very historical and neat to look at but not much to do within walking distance.

Needs Some Improvement

For the money the Hotel did not have much to offer. The employee at the front desk, at night, when we checked in was not friendly or knowledgable at all. She was not even couteous enough to let us know the simple instructions needed to get up to our hotel room (that our key was the only way to disable the elevator to get it to go up to the upper floors where the rooms were). There was no valet to greet us when we arrived and we had to go find him. This hotel was beautiful but not customer-friendly as it could have been. The city was like aghost town and you would think the few customers they had would have been treated better.

No perks at all.

For the amount of money, I expected more conveniences and perks. There were none. No free continental breakfast, no free valet, no free daily newspaper, no microwave in the room. It also cost too much for internet usage in the business center. Don't even think of printing out something - it's a separate fee. Employees wouldn't lift a finger unless a tip was possible. I visited the library across the street in the middle of the afternoon. Three hotel people were standing out front talking. They watched me walk across the street. When I came back 45 minutes later, they were still there chatting. And watching. The doorman wouldn't stop talking to come an open the door for me. I guess he didn't want to interrupt his conversation. I wouldn't rate this hotel as a good value at all.

Beautiful hotel, Horrible service!

Hotel is beautiful and well kept, however the staff was poorly prepared for the weekend events in the area. Check-in took 40 minutes, then when we got to our room there were already peoplen in it. We had to deal with hotel management for another hour to get a room. No compensation was made to try and correct the mistake. Would not reccommend this hotel.
