The Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows

Okay..

Hotel was fine. Rooms were very small, lounge staff openly disparaging of other guests while I waited for change. Room service adequate but not what I expected. Surprised that it did not have the "wow" factor that other 4-5 star hotels live up to.

Disapointed

Rooms and bathroom are very small. I think it's a shame to pay $140 for parking and you have to pay to use internet. I didn't expect that from this kind of hotel.

Disappointed

The hotel is beautiful and so was the room. The in-room dining was spectacular. Unfortunately, one of the beds smelled like urine. I had to move to the other bed in the middle of the night.

Nice Hotel - Broken Airconditioning and Heater

The hotel itself was nice. My room however, had a broken airconditioning and was blowing cold air constantly. There was no way of turning it off. Now im extremely sick.

Great Location... OK Property

Reality is that area has many hotels at varying proces... This property was most likely once georgous and is not a bit run down. Rooms are dated and a bit dark. Room rate was not bad but all amenities are very over priced and the pool is tiny for the property.

Exorbitant Overnight Parking Charges

My husband and I recently had a 10-day stay at the Fairmont Miramar. When I booked the room through hotels.com, I didn't see any info about overnight parking charges, but when we checked in, we realized that the overnight parking charges were $33/night. Given the length of our stay, we talked to the desk clerk and on-site manager both at check-in and check-out about getting a break on the charges, given the length of our stay. The hotel was adamant, would only reduce the charge to $28/day (they said it was posted on the website at that rate). Very inflexible and unyielding. I should also point out that due to other events (weddings, benefits, etc.) being held at the hotel during our stay that on 3 of the 10 nights the entrance to drop off/pick up one's car was changed and lengthy waits occurred. I will not stay at this hotel again.
