Outstanding Beachfront hotel in an outstanding town

great staff, good restaurant and bar, decent pool, great location

Great hotel

This is a Fairmont hotel so I really expected everything to be fabulous and it was. We walked to the Santa Monica pier and 3rd street Shopping area and back. It is really near, but not too near because it would have been too noisy. The room I reserved was the standard-size room and it was very spacious with full amenities. I asked for a late check-out because we watch a late show and the front desk was very obliging (as long as there is availability). I would say all the staff in the hotel is really friendly. The pool is a bit small, but it's beautiful and relaxing. Overall, I had a great experience with my family.

Outstanding Hotel

The staff treated my family like royalty. I stayed in a suite and they took care of all our needs. Room was beautiful.

Great Prices on Hotel.com But Be Careful

The hotel is fantastic, but parking is $30 per night, two roast beeef sandwiches from room service ran almost $100, the incidentals ran up so fast they almost amounted to more than the room rate. I'd stay here anytime, but I'd be very very careful about add ons.

Excellent but...

The bungalows are not worth the $$ and lack ocean views. King superior rooms w/ decks are far superior w/ great views.

Great location, woderful restaurant

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was smallish, but well appointed. Our only complaints were that there wasn't a proper bathroom door (just closet-type slatted doors), and parking is expensive but typical for the area. The restaurant (Fig) was wonderful.

Great Hotel to Escape Socal Fires

I needed to get away from the fires and smoke in socal. It was a great one day getaway with fresh air!

Great Location

Great location on the ocean. Nice lobby, pool area, restaurant. We were upgraded to Ocean view room in tower which sounds nice but the room is small and the bathroom is very small without real doors. Very nice terrace though with ocean view. Decor is dated and needs update. Last criticism, nice pool but not enough lounges/chairs and really couldn't use it.

Wonderful and Elegant

The Fairmont was fabulous. While checking in the staff came up with a basket of plush toys and gave one to our 7month old. Service was fabulous and the location is spectacular.

The service was great they were very eager to please, it was very clean, the staff was very friendly. I would like to come back in the near future.
