Trip Type: Business Review 5 of 323Hotels.com and Monte Carlo charged me
Beware of the "Resort Fee" that's added to your account upon check in. It's only $9.50 but they claimed it was for 2 bottles of water, a newspaper, and free 800# calls. I indicated I didn't want these things and asked if this would be waived and they said no because these items were already in the room this was a mandatory charge. My room never had the items.

Found out I had to pay a $14.95 per day extra spa, pool fee that I was not told about. This fee negated the Hotels.com savings. Not happy about this.

Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 323Resort Fee not disclosed, hospitality lacks.
Older hotel, don't expect too much luxuries like the newer ones that surround it. Be aware that they charge an additional fee per day at the time of check in. I was not aware of this, its not disclosed anywhere when I booked it. They call it a "resort fee", when I asked why I was being charged additional the clerk said its a new policy, she said the resort fee includes use of the gym, business center (which use to be free) & 2 bottles of water, I said I will not be using any of those, and asked her to waive it, she insisted it was policy. I had no choice I had to pay it, too late to book another hotel, I also asked her for a free guest coupon book, she refused, stating the rate I paid was a discounted rate. Hospitality lacks.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 9 of 323Never go back to Monte Carlo
Monte Carlo used to be a nice hotel. I think they really need to remodel it to keep it up. I can hear all the noise from next room even they talk very very very soft, and I can hear the noise when they are taking shower or use the bathroom. ( nobody wants to hear or know any about that) I can hear the people walk by the hall way. They really need to remodel their water system, so customers won't wake up by other peoples turn on the sink. I stay at 30th FL. but I still can hear all the noise from swimming pool :( everything is old :( even the TV is old style.

Trip Type: Family Review 11 of 323Going Down Hill
The check in process is super slow and disorganized. I had reserved and paid for a room and was given a different type of room. I was not told of the change, so I found out when I opened the door to the room. I went back to the check in to endure the super slow and disorganized process again only to be told that rooms are first come first serve. After negotiations I was finally given the room that I had originally reserved and paid for. The room was filthy and only received a minor straightening during our 3 day stay. The restaurants are overpriced, the food is bland and the staff slow. What a disappointment. I do not recommend this hotel and will never return. Was not even offered a comp for their mistakes.

Trip Type: Business Review 13 of 323resort fees
When we checked in, we were not notified that there were resort fees to use the gym. If you do not pay the $9 a day fee, you are then charged $20 per person at the gym. They said that we could easily add the resort fee, but would have to pay for the the whole time we were there even though or stay was half over...

It wasn't my first trip to Vegas but the first at Monte Carlo. I was quite disappointed. First we had to wait really long until some the personnel at the reservation got time for us. When we finally came to our room it was under construction. Down at the reservation we had to wait again until we good a new room. That was better but not what we were used to from other hotels at the strip. The room and the bath room were quite small. The interior and furniture should be renewed. At the moment there is a lot of construction around Monte Carlo. Therefore the location wasn't the best.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 15 of 323Monte Carlo Hotel Casino
I was a bit dissappointed by the size of the room in relation to the cost. There were no meal or drink incentives. Great pool area, but expensive to eat or drink there. I was looking for a relaxing economical get away and this place just did not do it for me. The beds were so so but the pillows sucked big time
