Beds were very uncomfortable, if you would like to check in early they charge you an extra $25. Lobby was nice, rooms outdated

We were very excited about this hotel because most of the reviews we had read were pretty good and we got a great deal. When checking in we were told that we had received a free upgrade on our room. Great! Our room turned out to be on the 16th floor with nice views of Waikiki and a decent view of the ocean and glimpses of the mountains. The room was a bit smaller than I had experienced at other two star hotels but there were just two of us and we weren't really in the room that much so it wasn't a big deal. The bathroom was my real issue. The shower head was broken causing the water to spray everywhere and it looked like the tub had been badly repaired, the plaster was pulling away from the tub around the overflow drain. On a minor note there weren't any little shelves for shampoo bottles, etc., in the shower just the corners around the tub. It was a minor inconvenience but something you kind of expect. On the up side, the balcony was huge and nice spot to eat breakfast before heading out for the day. The continental breakfast was minimal but decent. Mini bagels, toast, canned pineapple, yogurt, coffee, tea and an orange drink that may have been Tang. They do have a parking garage and the fees are quite reasonable considering what other garages charge and that it is near impossible to find parking on the street in Waikiki. Plus, the valets are very friendly and helpful.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 4 of 46Don't do it!
We chose this hotel as it was a great rate for the location, but it was a big mistake! The customer service was among the poorest I have ever experienced. We were not greeted by staff as we entered or left the hotel. The front desk people answered our questions in a rude way and were actually put-off when we asked them simple questions about bus, sites to see. A fuse blew in our room and no one came for 20 minutes, so we needed to fix it ourself. Bathroom was dirty and there was no shower pressure. When we asked for an iron, a hot iron was brought after our second call. To top it off,we were greeted with bugs as we got off the elevator. Continental breakfast consisted of mini bagels and canned fruit. We contacted the manager with our complaints and she dimissed us totally. Understanding this a a budget hotel, we were still most disappointed by the stay.

Trip Type: Romance Review 7 of 46Low price, low expectations
with traffic and street noise high and uncomfortable beds the only thing that met expectations was the price tag. I would not stay at this hotel again.

Strong points: low price; good location for those needing to go to a variety of points around the city; front desk, housekeeping, and most other personnel friendly and helpful. Weak points: breakfast was as inconvenient as it was sparse--don't bother; room internet connection worked, but was painfully slow day after day--a major negative if there is a need for conducting business.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 9 of 46Cheap hotel in a Great location
Location is great, with that said the rest left a great deal to be desired. The room was nasty, dirty and smelled. The cleaning staff kept turning off the noisy A/C so the room would be 85 or hotter when I returned. There was always long hair throughout the bathroom and I have very short hair. The contenintal breakfast consists of watered down coffee, powder mix drink, canned peaches and toast. You get coffee in your room (for the coffee maker) only the first day, then they refuse to give you coffee the rest of your stay. Parking will cost you 15+ bucks a day plus tips.

Trip Type: Romance Review 11 of 46Terrible!
I saw the good reviews this hotel got and was sorely disappointed. My wife and I were given a room with two twin beds, the air conditioner took a long time to cool the room down, the noise from the cars and people outside of our window (with the sliding glass door closed) was loud and annoying, and we woke up early in the morning with a stiff and aching back from the terrible mattresses we slept on. The closet is in the bathroom, and the 19 or 20 inch TV sat on a dresser, so was so low that we could barely see the screen, even though our pillows were folded over to prop our heads up. We will not stay in this hotel again, regardless of the price. The fact that a married couple checks in and gets twin beds amazes me. We've been in rooms with double/full size beds, but never twins. On a positive note, the valet parking attendants were superb; however, there is no self-parking at this hotel, so plan on the $16.00/day parking plus tips for the valets.

Trip Type: Romance Review 12 of 46Bed & Breakfast?
We stayed here for 3 nights starting April 8th. I made the reservation over the internet. They claimed to serve breakfast which was really toast and coffee. They included bagels but no cream cheese, the juice tasted like powder drink mix. They also had taro bread and some canned peaches. Not even pineapple! The beds and pillows were extremely hard and the location is very noisy. The best part was the ABC store in the lobby and the pay per view movies, but they were expensive at $15.

Trip Type: Business Review 13 of 46Ok for money
The hotel is in a convenient location. It is in sad need of repair and updating. My room had one double bed and the entire room was the size of a large closet. Certainly the smallest motel i have ever stayed in. All in all -- I think I will stay somewhere else on my next trip to Honolulu.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 14 of 46Okay, for a place to park your stuff
Very bare bones kind of place. No frills for sure. You get free coffee in your romm the first night only. The hotel staff are nice but don't go out of their way at all. I asked for infromation on the bus and on the third try, the third guy gave me a "highlights" bus schedule which was great. I would consider a small upgrade to another hotel next time.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 15 of 46not wonderful
when i arrived to the hotel the first thing that went wrong was the parking. There is no option for self parking. This hotel charges you $15 a day for their valet service and half the time the valet attendant isn't at their post. I almost missed my flight because of this. The only other option for parking is to park on the street which is very difficult in Waikiki. When I walked into the lobby it was very nice. The furniture was very modern. It made me think that I was getting a steal at a good rate. However when I reached my room, I wasn't impressed. It was just a standard size room- nothing special. THere was not enough lighting in my opinion either. The breakfast was awful. They served gogurt which is yogurt in a tube with fruit and taro toast. Overall I liked the location of this hotel. It was attached to a ABC store with all the little knick knacks for souvenirs and for the misc items forgotten such as toothpaste, etc.
