Can't beet the location

This Landmark hotel is front and center on union square within walking distance of shopping, excellent restaurants and transportation including the cable car. China town is couple of blocks away. The hotel is very well maintained and confortable rooms.The only thing I was unwilling to pay was for WiFI connection about $15. day. In this day and age you could get free WiFI just about anywhere. Valet parking is also steep at $50 a night. Keep that in mind when renting a car. tip: don't miss breakfast at Sear's fine foods one block away. Excellent food and service.

A little pricey for what you get

The Hotel was undergoing renovations so it was a little dirty and dusty. Overall clean and great location right in Union Square shopping. Directly accross from Macys, and Saks 5th Ave. Thought it was a lil pricey for what we paid.

great hotel great location

Things that I love about this hotel.... The convenient proximity to all of San Francisco's transit options within 3 or so blocks. Excellent shopping district that starts out the front door of the hotel. As for the hotel itself, I love the old architecture and style of the main building. The new portion is nice, and until my most recent trip I never had the opportunity to stay in the old portion. For me it was a notch above the new tower, but I enjoy vintage like this.

Union Square

The hotel location is great. Right at the Union Square. Everything is a walking distance especially to the bart system. We didn't even have to rent a car. We walk everywhere and took the bart and taxi. It's great!!

Great but don't park there

Good hotel staff. Friendly but at times distracted. Be aware parking is $50.00 per night.

Union Square

Love hotel. It's very nice and convenience to go anywhere. The hotel located right at the union square. I can't complaint.

The location can't be beat. Everything was excellent. My only comment would be that the doors are very heavy; you can hear the doors near your room closing as you relax in your room. This was in the old tower of the Hotel. The new tower might be different.

Nice hotel in loud neighborhood

Two nights for business. Was vary satisfied with hotel and amneties. One complaint; loud street music playing till 1030pm both nights in the middle off the week. Otherwise good room service and staff. Room was good as usual with Westin's.
