Needs Improvement

The room was worth the reduced rate we paid, but not what the usual rate is. The people were nice, but the quality of service was lacking. Housekeeping cleaned part of the room, but not others. They left enough towels of one size, but not enough of others, and not the same each day.

The hotel is to open. All rooms on all floors are exposed to the interior so therefore noise echoes. At night when trying to get to sleep you can hear the people in the lobby and if there are children them running around. If you are looking for relaxation this is not the hotel for you. The bathroom was not cleaned while I was there only the towels changed. The tub had the black ring from the first bath the whole time I was there. I like the internet access in the lobby.

Underwhelmed

The only positive thing I can say is that the beds were very comfortable.. The overall experiance was dissapponting. The check in was wicked slow and the room service was almost comical!! The lady that brought us extaa towels was so not nice..the overall cleanliness made me want to leave but since we had family with us we needed to literally grin and bare it!! I did spell in the dusty shelf " Clean Me" never again

FILTHY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS NEED TO BE IMPROVED!!

The hotel room bathroom was filthy!!! As soon as we checked in, we had to go to Walmart and purchase some disinfectant to clean it. We found a wash rag from a previous customer in the bathtub and garbage on the hotel room floor. The A/C vents were black with what I think was black dust. The A/C was extremely noisy. The phone in the room did not work. When we would go to the front desk to ask for toilet tissue or complain about the room, the rep behind the desk would look at us as though she did not want to be bothered (light-skinned African-American girl that was only there at night). We read the reviews this hotel was given before making the reservation, but I thought customers were just exaggerating and being too picky. BELIEVE ME!!! THEY WERE RIGHT!!! I WOULD NEVER RETURN TO THIS HOTEL!!!

"Needs Improvement"

The valet service, ponds, waterfalls, atrium, koi fish, & turtles were all great. Once you got past the hooplah, the hotel needed much improvement, all those things I mentioned above would have been better inside another hotel. Let's start with my suite: The room was old, the bathroom was waaaay too small (more like a hole in the wall), the walls were dirty inside the sleeping area across from the beds, there was a broken lamp on the night stand between the two beds, the bedding was much to be desired (the sheets were worn out because there were small holes in the top sheet), the bedskirts on both beds looked like they had not been washed in years (I'm talking stains galore). Maid Service: She promptly showed up at 7:30 a.m. each morning to "clean" the room. Keep in mind, I was in bed with a 7 m/o & a 1 1/2 yr old. Before I could get out of bed to answer the door she was already entering the room. This happened more than once (people take notes)...On my final day she came in just as I was pulling up my pants...talk about being caught in an uncompromising position. The front lobby staff was extremely helpful & friendly. This hotel charges $9.99 for WIFI connection in your room, but claims to have access in the lobby. I tried for hours to connect to their server while down stairs. I even solicited help from the staff, but could never get online. I was able to use one of the 4 computers they had for guest in the entertainment area (that was nice). I have stayed in many many hotels throughout my years of living & I must say, this is by far, the worst of them all & I would not reccommend it to any of my business partners. The price did not match the quality...

Don't get a room on the street side.

My rate was more expensive in April then during the winter the last time I stayed which is during "tourist season" here. Plus I ended up getting a room on the street side of Cypress Creek and it was very noisy with traffic. I reccomend you request a room on the other side of the hotel. Plus why did the housekeeper come by at 9 in the morning and bang on my door to clean the room when checkout isn't until 12? My first experience at this hotel was very pleasant. This time, not so much. I was planning on using this hotel again in the future but not now after that experience.

Great room for the money

Wish TV in rooms had more stations to choose from. The computer setup in rooms and the larger computer setups off of the lobby was really great!

needs improvement

The hotel is exceptionally beautiful, interioris serene with a fountain and waterfall, good restaurant ( with very limited choices ). Rooms are lare but bathroom is a shocker, a tiny little closet where faucets and showers do not work right, water has a peculiar yellowish color ( no warning not to drink ). Coffee are nor replaced, rooms are not cleaned right. Hotel is not good if you are planning to stay for more than one night. No bell service.

Needs Improvement

To all guest who are planning to stay in this hotel beware of the service specially housekeeping my family and I stayed at this place for 3 nights 1 day they did not clean the room and did not replace any towels in the bathroom when we came back we have to call the front office to request towels they did not even clean our room I should have followed some of the comments that I've seen on the "guest review" on this web site the view from our room is terrible we are facing the roof of the building I will not recommend this place If you insist "good luck to you and dont complain" search for another hotel.

Clean hotel but noisy train tracks nearby and loud AC

Stayed at this hotel based on ratings on Hotels.com and other hotel rating sites. The hotel is older but they seem to have done a nice job updating the rooms as part of a recent remodeling project. Positives: (1) Clean, newer rooms (2) Convenient to shopping, entertainment (3) Nice LCD TV's in living area and bedroom Negatives: (1) VERY loud A/C that comes on frequently (2) Nearby train tracks provide "fun" wake up calls throughout the night. (3) Beds don't appear to be part of recent renovations (low quality and very uncomfortable). (4) Cost for breakfast buffet is a joke ($17). We were told that was a "good deal" since eggs and bacon from the menu was $14. We went to the IHOP down the street and got in and out for less than $18 for both my wife and I. (5) Check-in staff were less than friendly. I asked for a room away from the elevators and they seemed very annoyed by the request but obligated me. So I won't say this is the worst hotel I have stayed in, but it certainly wasn't better than an average or less-than-average rating.

Tired and worn out

The elevators in the rear of the hotel did not work but the staff placed guests in the rear rooms to avoid the railroad noise in the front of the building. The front elevators were very slow to move. The rooms seem tired and worn out, although comfortable. Unsure if cleaning was happening, or if it was part of their "green" measures- hair from previous guests were apparent in the bathroom. Exercise room was ok but poorly ventilated and towels left on the floor were not picked up by staff.
