The room was dirty and it had drug paraphernalia all over the dresser. Then they switched us to a room and the ac didn't work properly! I would not recommend......

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 4 of 104Rundown and seedy
I read the reviews and some were good and some were bad so I decided to keep my reservations and hope for the best. Unfortunately the other reviewers were right and it was seedy and rundown, although the lobby was nice. The room was clean, but dingy. However, the front desk personnel were fine and the valets were especially courteous and efficient. Even so, I wouldn't stay there again.

hidden charges once we checked in, charge for parking that we were never told of, charge for room safe that we never use, not a very frendly attitude of hotel staff.

Lobby was very nice. Good location and nice beach. 6th floor rooms we tired. About what you'd expect from a low cost hotel. I'm sure it was once glamorous, not any more. Parking was $9.00 per night above hotel room price.

The hotel room was not as clean as I thought it should be. The housekeeping staff was rude. Very thin walls....could hear people in the room next door. There was a leak in the hotel hall the entire 3 days we were there. The front desk staff were nice as well as the valet staff. Good location. But the hotel needs much improvement. I would rate hotel a 2 star.

We did not really enjoyed staying at this hotel because they charged $9/day parking fee. Our family stayed from July 16-July 19. Our room was a facing the parking lot and not the ocean view. The bed was uncomfortable. The bathroom was cleaned. The receptionist was not very friendly.

Arrived at hotel at 11:00pm. We were told we would have to wait for 5 minutes to check in. No explanation of why. The location of the hotel is great but the rooms were filthy! Would not stay there again or recommend to anyone.

Valet parking staff was great, but the front desk... mm not really, they did not gave us the room that we wanted and ended up in a double room. The location is great, but they could be organaized a lil more. also the matress was in really bad shape.

We arrived to our hotel, expecting the worst given some of the reviews; however, we were pleasantly surprised when arriving in the lobby - it is absolutely gorgeous. However, it stops there. From the moment you step into the old outdated elevator, hand smudges to be seen everywhere, to it slowly creaking up the elevator shaft and opening it's doors into an old musty hallway with worn out carpet . . . what a shame!! Our room was okay . . it was clean and there were no bugs which was very important. The room definitely needed some maintenance done. Our hotel door would not latch so we constantly had to play with it upon leaving so the door would lock. The door to the balcony was almost impossible to open as it was old and the handles/locks needed to be fixed. The toilet was broken at the base and even the plumbing was loose in the walls. It looked like the bathroom had been updated, but it was done poorly. The hotel room ceiling had a bunch of stains on it. The television was older and buzzed very loudly when turned on. The walls are also very thin so we didn't sleep well at all as we could hear everyone. The last night we were there, a loud alarm (a fire alarm??) went off twice in the middle of the night, but no one seemed to be running out of their rooms and no explanation was ever given to us. There were some perks, like free wi-fi and being located on the beach. However, if you stepped off the hotel deck, you had to pay $5 for beach chairs on the beach. One towel per person per day was free. There is also an in-room safe fee we didn't realize until we checked out (regardless if you used it) that was $1 per day plus tax. You also have to pay for valet parking (even if you don't have a valet park your car) that is $9 a day. We tried to cheat the system and find other places to park but all parking lots near the hotel (and everywhere in Ft. Lauderdale) threaten towing. We didn't eat at the hotel as prices were pricey.
