Not a Business Travelers Hotel

I had two extremely heavy bags and the two desk clerks watched me struggle up the stairs to the desk to check in. When I called down and asked for bell cart to be delivery the desk clerk said "I don't really have anyone free to do that but you can come get it yourself." Would not stay there again because it is just not business traveler friendly.

Small Rooms

Very small rooms - really too small for comfort. Hotel seems to be a 'mickey mouse' operation. We asked for extra pillows and were told that the hotel was sold out and there weren't any available...

Extremely Poor Service

The hotel service is the poorest I have ever experience. I booked this hotel as it is a new "boutique" hotel. The hotel is quite new and nice in tht aspect. However, it is poor in service. The front desk service is terrible. The staff was rude, did not provide goo and accurate information. In adittion, at times there was no staff at all to provide assistance. I left an item in my room after checking out on 9/7. I called about an hour or so after I checked out on 9/7 and told them that I left an item in my room. I told them the exact location where I left it. I was told to call next morning because there was nobody to check and adress my problem. I called the next day 9/8. A staff asked me for my telephone in order to get back to me after checking with housekeeping. Nobody called me. I called the next day 9/9 and once again the staff asked me for my phone number and told me that they will call back. Again, nobody called me. I called twice on 9/9 to find out about the status of my missing item, once again. No information was provided to in the first call. Again, the staff takes my number and tells me that they will call me back. I call again later on on 9/9 and a staff tells me that my item was found and in logged in the housekeeping book. I was told to call again when the housekeeping manger was available to retrieve it so it could be mailed back to me. I called again on 9/11 and I am placed on hold and soon after told that my item was not found! Unaceptable! The hotel provided absolutely no helpful assitance finding the item I left in the room. In addition, nobody had any informaiton and kept providing different stories. Nobody called me and/or provided any assitance. I have never experienced such poor service with a hotel. They neglected to find my item soon after I left, did not call me back to provide me any information, tell me that is found and lost again after I continued to call for 5 consecutive days. Nice Hotel But...

This was a nice hotel however the surrounding neighborhood for the first few blocks around the hotel were very shady, a lot of homeless people begging for money which was unexpected. Also, the internet wouldn't work. They don't have Wi-Fi, you have to plug in an ethernet cable to your computer and it didn't work. Reported this problem to the staff and the response was to "just keep trying." Never gained internet access. The room was nice though. Very clean and comfortable. Temperature was easily controlled. Although, we did notice a strange noise at night that sounded like a rhythmic clunking noise that was disruptive when trying to get to sleep. The staff was wonderful, friendly and accommodating.

Needs Improvement

they were doing construction on our floor right in front of our room. we asked them for another room, because the workers were very loud and they assured us that the workers would be done by 4pm and would not come back for the remainder of the day. when we returned that night, the carpet in front of our room was all torn up, my husband tripped and fell and there were 4 loud fans also. they apparently had a water leak in another room. the fans were on all night and we couldn't sleep. we asked again to be moved and they said there were no rooms available. we asked to be compensated in some way and they said it was not their policy. This was a terrible experience. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. i really don't know why they would put anyone in that area where they were doing construction. when we arrived, there were 5 construction men in front of our room and had trouble getting through them!!

Small Hotel

The rooms were small. It was like a walk in closet. The bed was in between two walls. very tight. No where to put the clothes you packed. Have to live out of suitcase. ONly one elevator in hotel.

Needs Improvement

The hotel is fairly easy to get to via public transportation and is close enough to Quincy Market and the North End to walk. The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. However, amenities are lacking. There is no buisness center so if you do not have a laptop, you can only access the internet at the front desk using their computer! No frig or microwave in the room and the ice machine is only on the 3rd floor (we stayed on 7). There is only one elevator in the hotel and the day we checked out, it was not available. A staff member had to climb up the seven floors to get our luggage and complained about it. Lastly, while the staff is friendly, they are not knowledgable enough about the city including restaurants, sightseeing, etc.

Like staying in a nice hostel

While a good-looking hotel in a decent location, this place really is for kids on a budget who don't care about service (there is none) or ambience. The desk staff is sullen and unhelpful, too busy with personal phone calls to pause and answer questions or reply to a request for extra pillows. There is one designated room size for online-booking guests--tiny. No place to put luggage, barely room to step inside before tripping on the bed. It worked for the price, but if you can afford slightly better, go for it.

Can find better

For the price range this was in there are places that are cleaner and with much more attentive staff. Overall the rooms were not dirty but also not really clean (eg vents visibly FULL of dust). The doorman was great the front desk was not. Great location if in town for games at the Garden. Not the best location for much else.
