Trip Type: Not Provided Review 1 of 230Great place to stay in Boston
This was a great location to stay in Boston. It was convenient to the train station and you could walk to all the sites in the city. Good breakfast and very reasonable.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 3 of 230Good price if you don't mind walking a few blocks
This is a hotel that give you a good value for a convenient location. Stay here if you're basically looking for a convenient location and a well appointed place to sleep. If you're looking to spend a lot of time in you're room, it's not for you. The hotel is a few blocks from the downtown district and Boston Common and near the North End. If you don't mind walking just a couple of blocks to all of the tourist sites, you can't beat the price. The rooms are nicely appointed, but because of the triangular shape of the building, the rooms are small. We were originally given two double beds which made the room seem to have no floor space. We switched to a room with a king size bed, and it was manageable. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 230PARKING
My only complaint about this hotel was the explanation regarding the parking. The parking garage was not an "in and out" service for one daily charge. Once you were in the garage you paid the amount owed or the 30 for the daily rate. If the hotel could work with the parking garage to fix this it would be so much better for the guests.

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 230Great hotel staff
The staff at the Bullfinch Hotel were all excellent. They did go out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. There is only one elevator at this hotel. The elevator was broken and our room was on the 9th floor, so we either had to wait for the elevator to be repaired or carry our bags up 9 flights of stairs. The hotel did get a service company working on the elevator right away and the problem was resolved within an hour. Our room was small, we knew this going in, but it was clean and comfortable. The street behind the hotel has a lot of beggers. although we were approached for money we never felt threatened. All in all the Bullfinch is nicely located for siteseeing and the great restaurants are within easy walking distance. We would stay there again.

Would stay there again without a doubt. Small room, but clean and great if you aren't spending a lot of time in the hotel

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 14 of 230Loved it
I got the room for a reduced rate as part of a summer special & for that it was very good value. Everything is very upscale & in a contemporary design, the bathroom and main room were nice and clean. The room might be a bit small if you want to do anything but sleep & watch TV and/or stay there with 2 people, but that wasn't a problem for me. The walk to downtown is around 20 mins and for the most part takes you along cute brick houses and beautifully restored official buildings. Probably not for people who don't like to or cannot walk a whole lot. Again I loved it & plan on returning soon.

We were very satisfied with the Bullfinch. It was our first stay in Boston and were able to walk to everything we wanted to see and felt safe doing so. Would definately stay at the Bullfinch again.
