Ok if you just need a place to sleep...

The hotel itself is ok. Clean and the room was decent. Few things that will keep me from staying there again... first it is in an awful area. I went out to find a place to eat and didn't feel safe. Spoke to a fiend who works in the area after and he confirmed that it is not a safe area. Second.. there was a really loud noise coming from the vent in the bathroom. So loud that I had to sleep with ear plugs and the bathroom door closed. I would have asked for another room but by the time the noise started I was already settled in for the night. When I mentioned it to the person at the front desk they acted like they didn't really care. If you are looking for a place to sleep that is right off the highway and you don't plan on leaving it once you check in then it's fine. If you want to explore the area I would find something else.

Needs improvment

There was a bad smell outside which ended up in our room when we put the a/c on. Also everything seemed damp in the room. Not a great area in hartford

Nice hotel, terrible service

Location was fantastic, awesome restaurant right next door. Front desk clerk was quite pleasant and helpful. Room was extremely comfortable (especially the shower)! Unfortunately I left an item behind and was half way home when I realized it. I called the hotel immediately to alert them in hopes of having the item shipped to me (at MY expense) and as of this writing (four days later) still have not heard from them. Something this trivial has left an impression that will result in my not staying at this or any other Holiday In hotel in the future.
