Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 42Decent hotel on a budget
The hotel is in a pretty good location and it is hard to find one cheaper and in the same location. The staff are like zombies except two gentlemen that worked there. Everyone else can't seem to smile or look at anyone. We even heard staff patronizing a guest about directions. The guests seem to be young people saving money to party which isn't bad for some.

Trip Type: Business Review 3 of 42Worst hotel I have ever stayed
Midtown hotel is essentially an overpriced motel. I could easily hear the people next door because the walls were so thin. My room smelled like smoke even though there was a non-smoking sign on my door.

Trip Type: Business Review 5 of 42Great Location, No Services - Business Travelers Beware
The best thing about the Midtown Hotel is its location. Other than that, if the hotel offers any services whatsoever, they are a well-kept secret. It's you, two pillows, and a soda machine down the very long hall.

Trip Type: Romance Review 7 of 42make sure AC works
My girlfriend and I booked a room at the Hyatt on the Charles River, but switched to The Mitown Hotel because it would have been an easier walk to Fenway Park (went up for a Yanks vs. Red Sox game and to see the Green Dumpster), and if need be walkig distance to other points of interest. We left the hotel at 5pm, and left the AC on full blast. We got bak around midnight and our room was a sauna- AC did not work. Their solution?? They gav us a desk fan to use overnight. They advised a maintenance guy would come the next day, but didn;t until i made more of a stink... finally they moved u to another room, and the AC worked, but then that room smelled like the buffet in an Atlantic City casino... like old clothes and mold. If you KNOW the AC doesn't work right in the room, as the maintenance guy pointed out, WHY DO YOU BOOK GUESTS IN IT??? IT WAS THE HEAT OF SUMMER, YOU CAN SWEAT IN THE SHOWER IT WAS SO HUMID AND GROSS!!!!!

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 42Belongs next to a highway in the middle of nowhere.
Don't let the image on this page fool you. What's important is what you can't see. This hotel is a 2-story 1970's design that probably even looked cheesy then. Things get worse on the inside. The hallway carpets have been soiled and matted, at certain points you are presented with overwhelming smells, all unpleasant. The whole building felt and appeared dank and unkempt.

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 42Midtown Hotel Dump
We were shocked at the condition of this hotel. It was dirty, outdated and uncomfortable. Air conditioning didn't work so they brought a fan to our room. Carpet, walls and bedding looked old, washed out and dirty. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 10 of 42Not great, but well located
If you are looking to spend as little time in your room as possible, but would like to get anywhere in the city by mass transit than this hotel is ok.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 13 of 42Terrible
Reserved King Room. Got Double Beds. Switched us to King Room however the room smelled like vomit. House keeping was useless and the front desk was rude and condescending! Experience not worth the savings. Would spend a little more for less than this hotel had to offer!

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 14 of 42Great Location, bad rooms
The location is great, so if you want just a place to stay overnight (alone, not with family) for some work in the city then its fine. Else if visiting with family not recommended.
