Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 30Clean, Centrally Located Hotel
Hotel Astor Saint Honore is well-located on a quiet street near the excellent shops on fashionable Rue du Faubourg Saint Honore. Not too far of a walk from the Place de la Concorde, the Louvre, and other key locations. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The rooms were tiny but well-kept and nicely decorated; the bathroom was similarly small but clean. For the price, the hotel is a good value for Paris.

2 metros close by. St.Austine and Madeline. Not near anything. Breakfast not included and very expensive. A chicken sandwich cost 15Euros. Mainly office buildings for neighborhood. Safe to stay with family. Expensive.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 6 of 30Location! Location! Location!
I have no complaints. I was traveling with my mother (who just had knee replacement surgery) so we have very different needs. The hotel was perfect for the both of us. The bathroom offered a bath and shower with removable shower head. There was ample room around the sink/vanity and we never felt crowded in the bathroom. As expected in Paris, the bathroom had a wonderful magnification mirror (for those who like/need to groom their eyebrows). The room was equally impressive. The safe was easy to operate, although we could have used a man to figure out that darn remote control (a disadvantage to never having control of the remote at home, I guess). Lots of electrical outlets to charge the camera, iphone, and laptop. (Don't forget your converters and surge protectors from AAA). We vacationed in four European cities and this was my Mom's favorite bed and pillows. I liked the firmer beds in Rome (which reminded my mom of the prison beds at the Doge's Palace). If you like soft beds and cushy pillows, you will like the Astor Saint Honore. As to the location, there are great (!!!) Parisian pastries in proximity to the hotel. The first morning we made the mistake of eating a 35euro breakfast near Notre Dame. Thereafter, we enjoyed 10euro breakfasts with the best pastries and coffee you could ask for at the local establishments (even open early on Saturday mornings!). When in Paris, do as the Parisians do. We never ate at the hotel, although the tables always looked full of tourists. Not only would I recommend this hotel, I will stay there again next year. Abientot.

Trip Type: Romance Review 7 of 30Great service, no air conditioning
The hotel was beautiful and the staff was extremely attentive, but our room didn't have air conditioning, so I would never recommend this hotel for a summer stay. The restaurant was very expensive, so be sure to hit a patisserie unless you want to pay 25 euros per person for breakfast. The concierge was very helpful when it came to finding quality restaurants close by.

Trip Type: Romance Review 8 of 30Good Hotel for a Good Price in the center of Paris.
The Astore Saint-Honoré is a very good value for a nice stay in Paris that won't break the bank. It's located centrally and you can walk to most of the major sites. My only complaint is that our air conditioning broke twice. Maintenance fixed it right away the first time, but was unavailable the second time and they loaned us a fan for the night. The concierge is great!... especially if you do not speak French.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 9 of 30Great room for the money
It is an excellent hotel, very clean, the room was a little small but in Europe most hotel rooms are small, a plus is that this hotel includes breaksfast with your dayly stay and it is offered in a very nice ample room.

Trip Type: Romance Review 10 of 30Charming Hotel for an Anniversary Celebration
Overall we found this to be a very charming hotel with the ambiance and coziness we would expect of a French hotel. Entering the lobby, we found it to be a warm and inviting decor. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Check in was a breeze. Although rooms tend to be small in Paris hotels, we had a deluxe which was a comfortable amount of space and included a King size bed (if you are used to a lot of space, you would probably not want to go smaller than this size room). The room was also very quiet, and well-insulated from the neighboring rooms. The air conditioning worked well and was hardly noticeable from a noise standpoint. The breakfasts are very worth while if included in the room rate (which was the case for us). Otherwise they can be quite expensive if you have to pay extra. The buffet breakfasts were quite good, with creamy scrambled eggs, fruits, cereals, an assortment of breads and pastry, cold cuts, cheeses, bacon and sausage. The location was on a small side street, without a lot of traffic noise. It was convenient to the metro trains which made all of Paris nearby. We developed some favorite local restaurants. The staff was very courteous, helpful and friendly, which made the hotel experience one that we would recommend.

Trip Type: Romance Review 11 of 30Best customer service in Paris
The staff, especially the concierges at the Astor were great! We talked to them daily about directions, restaurants, trains, etc. and always got great answers and suggestions. The room was beautiful but small and the bed was rather soft with bad pillows but overall we had a great time because of the excellent location-close to everything, even the Louvre, which we walked to one day! We'll stay there again, but probably book a suite for more room.

Trip Type: Business Review 12 of 30Great room and location
Nice location (although I would have preferred something closer to St. Germain). Front desk helpful and very nice. Air conditioning didn't work, yet it was spring... Room was very nice (for the price)

Trip Type: Romance Review 14 of 30Relatively good hotel
We had problems regulating the temperature of the room - often we had to leave the window open in order to be comfortably cool at night. The room itself was modern, very clean and characteristically (for Europe) small, with a double bed - which was a modest disappointment for my 191 cm frame. A buffet-style breakfast that was included occasionally seemed a bit chaotic during our 5-day stay, with a somewhat disorganized waitstaff, but there was a reasonable selection of foods selected for both American and European tastes. The location of the hotel on what could be considered a side street in Paris had advantages (quiet) and disadvantages (difficult to locate at times). Overall, considering that the hotel was in Paris, we felt that the accomodations were reasonable for the price.
