The room was not clean and there was food left over from previous guests looks like hotel room was not cleaned before our checkin. Also in bathroom we found left over lingeries from previous guests. Staff was really rude to address this matter and looks like they were not concern with uncomfort we were experiencing. I would suggest to look for other Hotel for better room with few more dollars.

The drain for bath tub and sink was haflway clogged up. You will take a shower with water up to your ankle. I just need a place to rest after the cruise until 6PM so I can go to South beach before driving home. This hotel locate between cruise port and Bayside market and the 2PM check-in time fit what I need.Over all, it's not too bad for 5 hour rest stop.

Not too bad a place. Iffy neighborhood at nite. ok for nite before cruise, $14.00 for ride to ports, which is alot cheaper than taxi.

Ironing board broken in room. Also, staff didn't have breakfast posted at appropriate time. I went downstairs expecting to eat and was left with nothing but luke-warm coffee.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 7 of 34Bad Vibe
While the check in clerk was nice, the area itself was not. There were random people in the parking lot, just sitting around on their blankets and people roaming. We were on the 1st floor and that made me a little scared. We just needed a bed to sleep in and if you like springs in your back, then this motel will suffice. Not worth the money we paid, if you're looking for one night before the cruise, don't stay here.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 8 of 34Pay a few dollars more, and look at another hotel
This hotel had the absolute bare essentials - but I would suggest paying a few dollars more (generally not much more) and going to another hotel. Our room smelled like smoke and febreze even tho we had requested a non-smoking room - the pillows were flat as a pancake, the nob to control the shower temperature didn't work, and there were people in who had put lawn chairs outside our door, smoking cigarettes and drinking beers.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 9 of 34Terrible Hotel! Avoid at all costs!!!
So me and my girlfriend needed a place to stay for the night before she caught her plane out of Miami. We decided to book the Midtown Inn due to the good deals on it's cost and all of the promises of comfort and additional "perks" they offered (ie. Pool, wireless internet, complimentary "breakfast," friendly staff, etc.) So we decided to check in around 9 o'clock PM the night before her flight (we would be leaving at 5 AM the next morning). We get to the front desk and the worker behind the desk, a man that was bleeding from the top of the head gave us a hard time about checking in. He stated that it was hotel policy that you must be at least 21 years old to check in to the Midtown Inn. I showed him the printed receipt from hotels.com that it stated that the minimum check in age was 18 years old, not 21. After he raised his voice multiple times he agreed to let us the room, snarling the check out time as we walked out of the lobby to the room. Now the rooms all face the outside, so there is no interior hallway of any sort, and the neighborhood that the Midtown Inn is located in is dangerous and awful. On the cab ride over to the hotel we heard police sirens wailing, angry shouts and profanity from people walking the streets, and even our cab driver told us "not to go out and walk anywhere, because this is a veryyyy bad pat of town!" He repeated this multiple times, drilling it into our heads. So, despite being located by a dennys and other buildings (that have bars on their windows, kind of tells you something about the neighborhood), the danger imposed from venturing out of the hotel was not worth the risk. We walk towards the room, taking the stairs up a flight, since there is no ramp or elevator. All of the rooms are in an L-shape surrounding the parking lot below. In the corner of the parking lot is a small fenced in pool, filled with murky water and debris. So, when we get to the room we open the door and notice that there is a terrible musky smell coming from

Trip Type: Business Review 10 of 34Cheapest place in town -- and it shows
The MTH's only redeeming quality is its price. The hotel is run down, dirty and in a terrible neighborhood. Be prepared to be awoken at night by the tenants, airport noise and emergency vehicles. I stayed for over a week and when my employer found out where I was staying, paid for me to stay somewhere else. If you do decide to stay here, upgrade your rental car insurance. I couldn't sleep most night worrying about someone breaking into my car.

When we arrived at the hotel around 10pm our neighbors were just exiting. There occupation appeared to require them to stand on a street corner. That was quite a surprise!
