Small accomodations for the money

The room was nice with a beautiful view. A/C was old and not so good. Room was extremly smwll for the price paid.

Stay Away.

I made a huge mistake reading some of the reviews. They have to be paid reviewers for the hotel. Let's list the issues. 1. No cold water 2. Mold on ceiling 3. Maybe the toilet flushes, maybe it doesn't 4. Furniture is ripped 5. Air conditioning was not adequate 6. Sticky doors 7. No air conditioning in hallways 8. Asked for a wake up call, aaaand they missed it. 9. Refrigerator door would not seal shut 10. Missing lightbulbs in lamps The view was good. The room is very small - be prepared to be surprised how small a room with two queen beds can be. The location is very far south of the action on Atlantic - you might like it, I didn't. My mistake. The Fish Bones restaurant is quite nice, though. The convenience store in the lobby is a nice touch, but the attendant knew maybe 14 words and 10 of those are numbers. Beds were comfy.

Old, smelly, and gummi bears

Upon checking in my family entered the room only to be overwhelmed by a gust of musty smells. Everyone in my family said something about the smell so I knew it wasn't just me. Called hotel and they sent maintenance up to inspect. They verified the smell and immediately sprayed the heck out of the rooms. The smell came back the next day. I gave up after that and didn't bother to call again. It must have been something in the walls or in the air conditioning. The room was old and worn down. The remotes were missing the back and the tv's were missing the power buttons. The carpet was so old i felt like wearing flip flops. Despite some other reviewers, the toilet had massive power. The shower was very weak and took a long time to clean. The hot tub was nice and relaxing. The pull out couch was old and uncomfortable in both positions. The halls were not air conditioned and very hot. The only redeeming thing about my stay was the balcony and the view/location. It was great waking up in the morning seeing the early morning waves and surfers. Watching the sunset at night was great. Overall I would not recommend the hotel because of the smell. Everything else was tolerable.

I guess I just expected a lot more since the hotel was practically on the beach. The staff was helpful and courteous, but the hotel needs an upgrade desperately. The room though clean smelled of insect spray.

Great location but could use improvement

Location was great ... right on the boardwalk. Balcony was very nice with view of boardwalk / ocean. With a 14 month old, would have hoped the floor would have been cleaner. TV remote didn't work, Air Conditoning unit rattled ... had to put books on it to help keep it quiet. Scheduling of the housekeeping staff and our son's nap time caused problems. Hotel was not very flexible with cleaning the room on our schedule. Pool didn't seem very clean ... the water was very cloudy.

Decent hotel, but look for others

The room that we stayed in was nice and did have a nice view of the ocean, all though it probably would not satisfy anyone looking for an upscale experience. The staff were not really friendly, and most of our calls to the front desk went unanswered. Most of the maids did an average job of cleaning the rooms, leaving things behind or not fully cleaning the room. The hot tub within the pool is broken, as well as some renovations (such as painting) were taking place during our stay.

Ok hotel

The hotel was not bad for the price, but much of the staff was very rude. The room was not ready at 3 pm, as that is the check in time. I was sent upstairs to the room and they were cleaning it and the maid said "Why do they send ya'll up here when we ain't done cleaning." The room was ok, it had some older furniture and a really old air conditioner, but it worked well. It is ok like I said, but I was underwhelmed.

The staff was very courteous but I wouldn't stay again...

I purchased 3 hotel rooms from my sisters and I. The rooms were very small, the hotel rooms were outdated. It was okay for the price being on the oceanfront, however, I would not return. The staff was very nice.

Needs improvement

The pool was never available during our 4 days,3 nights stay and the front clerk does not have any clue on why the pool is not available for use. We were not satisfied specially with the amount of money we paid.

Clean, Appropriate for the price. Updates needed (lobby)

Storage area needed to avoid guests from passing undesirable atmosphere when taking stairs. Separate elevator needed for staff (trash containers and maid carts) elevators brutally slow.

"Free" internet

The hotel advertised "free" internet access. When we arrived, we were told we had to purchase (or already have with us on vacation) a cat-5 cable to access their "free" internet. The cable was conveniently being sold for $10 at the front desk. Not really free internet access compared to every other hotel stay we have had.
