Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 10BEWARE OF PARKING FEE
Called in advance to ensure that the parking fee was reasonable. Was told that while there was a valet fee, there was free self-parking. So, I booked my reservation. When I got there, was surprised to find out that whether or not I used the self-parking or the valet, it was $45.00 dollars a night. A little pricey to say the least.

I really like Kimpton hotels so I was excited to stay at the Palomar especially for the deal I got. All things considered, I guess I got my money's worth, but the hosted wine reception was like drinking a glass of cigarette butts, the carpet in my room was threadbare, and the concierge could't even recommend a good burger place.

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 10Bad Service - Cheesy Theme
We had an absolutely awful time at the Palomar. Someone was given a key and walked into our room within one hour of being there. The room service was cold and bad, but hey, on the plus side, we could drink our troubles away with their pretty cheap minibar. Don't ever stay here!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 6 of 10Noisy neighborhood
If you want to be right in the thick of the shopping and poverty district (they are apparently one and the same), this is the place for you. It's just a block or two from Union Square. I recommend the Campton a few blocks away for a more serene experience. My biggest beef with this place was that they gave us only ONE BAR OF SOAP to use for both the shower and the sink over two days. That's not four-star treatment. On the other hand, it had the best TV I've ever seen in a hotel room, and the floors outside the elevators are stunningly beautiful. The people working their were nice.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 7 of 10Expensive for what it is.
Very expensive for such small room, and old furniture, the shower felt like a $70 motel room

Great location...rooms small, no dressers, two draws for space..ridiculous if you come for more than one night...lots of confusion at front desk..too few people doing too many jobs..in rain, doorman missed six taxis for us as he was loading luggage into car service...where was bellman??

Trip Type: With Friends Review 10 of 10Great Location but
The hotels locates very well,2-min by walk to union square and all shopping centers. Condition of the hotel is fine. But only the service is impressively unfriendly. When i checked-in, no smile; when i left, no good-by but always cold face on all receiptionists. dont know why...
