Trip Type: Special Event Review 1 of 5Reservation not honored
I had reserved a smoking room and they were not able to give me one. The hotel said that the online reservations overbook the smoking rooms. They cannot honor the reservation. I have already booked this same hotel for another date. I am very sorry that I did that. We were not late in checking in, so I would assume that they would have been able to honor our reservation. I will not stay there anymore.

The location was great and the staff was very nice. My main complaint concerns the parking. The garage for the Hampton was over a block away. There was a closer garage but we parked in the Hampton's garage assuming the parking would be included with our stay. We were charged $15 to park. The garages maxium daily rate was $8.50 and the closer garage was $10. After spending nearly $300 for one night parking should have been more convenient or free. We did not try the hotels valet parking because traffic was so bad we didn't see it.

Hotel was OK. Parking was terrible and now clearly marked. Saturday night guests came in and woke up everyone on my floor screaming and banging on doors. Calls to the front desk were ignored. Not a good experience. If you have the opportunity to go to Cleveland, pass it up; however, if you do go, stay somewhere else.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 4 of 5"Disappointed for the amount of money"
My sister and her husband and my husband and I came in on a Saturday. Our first night stay on the 8th floor was very uncomfortable. The room for some reason seemed to be very warm at night. This made for an uncomfortable sleep. I was told by the assistant manager that it was because heat rises. I found this answer to be unacceptable, but apparently there is nothing we could do about it. He told me next time we come to stay in this particular hotel, he would take care of us and he would put us on a lower floor. I also reserved 2 rooms for Sunday. Our second room was not available at check in time. This was extremely frustrating. We were not able to get into the room until after 5pm. I was told by an attendant that the room was not cleaned yet. I had made these reservations many weeks in advance and found this to be unacceptable as well. We could have picked many hotels in the area to stay in. I chose this particular hotel because it stated it was a five star hotel. I would have to disagree with this statement. I definitely feel that we paid too much to stay in this five star hotel. At best it was 3 stars. Definitely not worth the money.
