Paying for Location

High price is for location only ... anywhere else, the room would go for $50

The ocean side view we paid extra to have-

Oceanside view should NOT mean when you stand at your window to look OVER the walk way and the waist high railing. We paid for what we thought was be to a view we could sit and look out to see from inside the room.

Very used hotel

You can tell that this hotel is used very frequently. The room had a funny smell, but went away once we put the ac on and opened the door for a few minutes. The view was beautiful, but I wouldn't consider this a 5 star hotel. It just had a very used smell and feel to it.

needs improvement

hotel staff is nice. the amount of money paid to in this hotel is just to much.

dirty

dirty sheets, found some hairs when I pulled the covers back to go to bed.. Never again.

While the location is great right on the beach, the room left a lot to be desired.

Disappointing

Hi, Despite many trips to the Outer Banks of NC, this was by far the most un-enjoyable. Reasons: ** Biggest: We reserved 2 rooms online thru hotels. com. The week prior to our arrival, the rates went down. The decrease in the rates would've saved our family approximately $100.! When I asked if there was anyway to receive a discount, we were told "Sorry, that's what happens when you go through third parties, like hotels.com." While I can appreciate there "rules", I also believe that due to the economy & rising gas prices, hotels that are lucky enough to have people still visit should make every accommodation to make family travel less expensive, and more enjoyable.** 1. Despite having a handicapped person with us w/ limited mobility, our rooms were a substantial walking distance from our vehicle. 2. No chairs on balcony/porch to sit outside. 3. BOTH nights we were there, we were bitten multiple times while TRYING to sleep. 4. No ice machine on our floor, had to go to hotel lobby for them to give us ice. No vending machines either. 5. Bathrooms are teeny-tiny small. If it weren't for trying to "make the most out of it", especially b/c my children had just finished school for the year ... we may have left early.

So, So Not great

We stayed into your hotel for two night and part of three days, the Hotel was not that great. The tub and sink pieces of hair was left in the tub and on sink, we would not stay at your days Inn again when visiting my Hometown. Thanks for the room.

Ok I guess

A lot of early morning construction in the mornings. The bathroom was incredibly small. Although the Check-in & registration went very smooth and quickly because of Hotels.com

Cheap, but remember you get what you pay for !

Bath tub still had soap in the floor that was melted from the previous renter........kinda gross ! We went to the dollar store across the Hgwy and purchased cleaning stuff and cleaned it up......guess you get what you pay for. Still was a cheap deal for an unexpected funeral.
