Trip Type: Business Review 2 of 100Decent value for the location
This hotel was about what I expected for the price--decently comfortable room in a great location--but I won't stay there again. The shower floor was in severe need of a scrub. The room was stuffy and warm, and when I reported that my heating/cooling unit would only blow heat (despite being on the coldest setting), I was told it would only heat and I could open the window. Being in downtown Seattle and trying to sleep with the window open was not a great option. If cost and location are your two main concerns, this is the option for you.

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 100Staff was horrible...
When we arrived no one greeted us... in fact they went out of their way to be exceptionally rude. We we got our room it was NOT the room I paid for. I called up Hotels.com to see if they could help and they did their best to try but because there was no manager on site the Hotels.com reps hands were tied. So after I got off the phone with them the hotel staff begrudgingly gave me the room I paid for. The person at the front desk who was utterly rude did his worst at a half a$$ed apology he could and I went off on him that he messed with the wrong people considering my Fiance and I both work in Hotel/Restaurant industry and we know better on how a guest is supposed to be treated considering they are there to serve us... not the other way around. Ultimately if you are a person who doesn't like conflict this is not the place for you. They will completely try and pull one over on you if you don't have the fortitude to say "There is something seriously wrong and you better make it right!" then BEWARE of this place.

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 100Price is way to high
The entrance to the hotel is very pleasing, until you get to the elevator. It took ten minutes for us to even get on the elevator before someone came and (I think fixed it)Then we went in and old never been upgraded room.Very small and cramped with the most uncomfortable bed.

Trip Type: Business Review 6 of 100A little Rough around the edges, but good location.
The hotel is a bit rough. Not dirty, but just needs some updating and a fresh coat of paint and some love. Standard basic hotel in a very nice part of town and easy to get the major points of interest. Would only stay here again if I could not get a cheap hotel elsewhere.

Trip Type: Business Review 7 of 100Too much money for the room - old hotel.
Not the worst I've seen, but could definitely be cleaner - especially the bathroom.

the room and bathroom was tiny. i would have gladly paid 30 more dollars to stay in another hotel with a little more space.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 9 of 100Dated, crumbling interior with smells!
The first room we were checked into reeked of urine. We were then transferred to a second room where we had to deal with construction in the adjacent room drilling into our wall! The paint was peeling, the carpet didn't look as if it had been changed since the LBJ administration and the service was lackluster at best. Not recommended.

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 10 of 100Very Disappointed!
To start off, the parking was in an adjacent parking garage for an additional 21.00, then they say they are pet friendly, but they charged an additional 20.00 for a tiny mini dachshund, the rooms were extremely small, the bathroom was even hard to turn around in. The room itself was tiny also and we were on the second floor with no air conditioning and you could not leave the window open because of the street noise. Very hot August night with no air!!!! When I told the front desk, they said that they knew the air did not work and apologized. Very difficult to unload and load as we were traveling on a motorcycle and had to park a block away and carry everything because it was on a hill and the parking garage was over a block away. Very disappointing!

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 11 of 100Needs Improvement
I don't have a whole lot of good things to say about EHP. Our room was small and the bathroom was small as well. The toilet paper holder was pushing against my left arm that made it uncomfortable to use the toilet. The bed/comforter and pillows had hair from prior guests so we used their towels as pillow covers.

Trip Type: Business Review 12 of 100Fine, with issues
Really the hotel was fine. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the staff was helpful. That being said... - The shower head was so low, it was below shoulder height on me. I'm a little tall, but not *that* tall. - The furniture placement was such that I couldn't open the drawers in the corner dresser unit without first moving a chair out of the way. - The clock/alarm was placed on the desk far away from the bed, well out of arm's reach and with the wires run in such a way that it was difficult to move. All kind of small things, but I wound up being constantly annoyed while I was in the room because of how it was arranged.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 13 of 100Old and not clean
This hotel is ancient with some modern updates but the room was incredibly small as was the very dirty bathroom. The archaic elevators are too small for a bellhop to take items up to your room for you. Overall, it is just a step above a motel and WAY overpriced.

Trip Type: Family Review 14 of 100Tiny room!
We enjoyed our stay in Seattle, but this hotel's rooms are way too small! The bathroom is tiny, and the toilet is cramped up beside the wall. The bathroom faucet was leaking, which had a very annoying "dripping" noise. I informed the front desk of the problem, but they did not fix the faucet. We also had an issue with the outside door not shutting properly...be very careful to make sure the door latches! We had a prankster (2:30 A.M.) running down the hall banging on all the hotel doors. It completely opened our door because we thought the door was latched and locked...we were wrong! On the other hand, the room was very clean, and it is very convenient to all the tourist attractions.

Trip Type: Business Review 15 of 100In Desperate Need of Updating
I had a prepaid reservation for 3 nights at this hotel. Needless to say - I didn't even stay for one and ended up paying for another hotel during my stay. I knew this hotel wasn't new - and I am fine with a "quaint" older hotel - I was disappointed from the minute I walked in. Everything was worn and there was a very damp, musty smell in the room. The room itself was a closet and didn't even have a desk or workspace! The bathroom was dirty - like needs a serious scrubbing dirty. The walls are paper thin and you can hear your neighbors like they were right in front of you. I spent about 20 minutes in the room and this was just to frantically search the Internet for an alternative. By far the worst hotel I have ever experienced (and I've traveled a lot). I usually read reviews before staying at a hotel - wish I would have paid more attention to what fellow travelers had said. What a waste of money!
