Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 10Great room for the money, however
This is a very nice hotel for the money. However, they charge you for everything so be careful. Hotels.com did not have information pertaining to additional fees such as, required charges for parking and the money they hold on your credit card, for "just in case" charges. After checking out and being billed for additional charges, I have noticed that they have deducted too much money. Now I must deal with the hassle of trying to get my money back.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 3 of 10needs improvement
Restuarant service was poor and food was substandard for the price. Pool area was nice and pool water was warm, but not enough chairs for guests. I also received several nasty "bug" bites while at the hotel which are still healing

Trip Type: With Friends Review 4 of 10Ok hotel but carpets and bedding stained.
For a higher end hotel it was very disappointing. The staff did not unload our dish washer. Carpets and furniture were stained. Bedding also stained.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 5 of 10Prepare for a line from the front desk
We arrived and found that the galleria is next door. Great! But then we checked in and was told at front desk that there is no self parking-only valet...of course $21 per night. The valets were rude, unattentive, and had no idea if there was even security. Overall, basic hotel, even the king suite was very basic.

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 10Very Poor for a Double Tree
The first weeks stay we had problems almost every night with house keeping. we checked out and came back 3 days later and the hotel was testing it's alarm for 3 days from 9 5 pm Every 3 mins on every floor and every room you herd the alarm. we checked out as this was pure hell. Its to bad as the hotel is nice BUT the MGT is second rate at best.

Trip Type: Business Review 7 of 10Would have been nice.....
We checked in after midnight and my husband had to get up for a conference at 6:30. No trouble checking in and the complimentary warm chocolate chip cookies were a nice welcome. The rooms are spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. I think we would have been very satisfied with it if not for a mysterious beeping noise that happened every 15 minutes or so. I tried to figure out what it was but gave up when I realized it was not a smoke alarm. At first it wasn't so bad, but after a few hours of it waking us up I did further investigating a found it to be the microwave oven. None of the buttons would make it stop. I called the front desk and explained what was going on and the gentleman who answered said he could hear it and how sorry he was. He advised me that he could either send someone up or we could unplug it ourselves (the plug was in a high cabinet above the microwave). We unplugged it ourselves, but I told the front desk that I thought we deserved some type of credit due to my husband only getting two real hours of sleep. They offered us free breakfast vouchers, but my husband couldn't use them without losing sleep in order to get to his conference. I checked out online and my bill said "FREE" so I very happily thought that for our troubles we had been credited...only to find out later this was not so. I called and complained for the confusion and the person I spoke to could not tell me why my bill said "FREE" but that if we came back they would give us the VIP treatment, ofcourse, we'd have to pay full price for the room again to get the VIP treatment. We don't care about VIP treatment, we just wanted them to give us a fair credit for not getting any sleep due to the malfunctioning microwave. One other note, there are about 20 chairs around the pool. I literally watched about eight families come down to the pool only to find there were no chairs to sit on. It makes no sense! There's plenty of room around the pool for more chairs and wha

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 8 of 10Disappointing
Our room was on the fourth floor right next to the ice machine that dropped new ice every 10 minutes all thorugh the night. Our microwave did not work but it took 3 calls before someone came to check it out. Moved room the next day but the walls were so thin we heard every sound. Still no sleep. The Jacuzzi was under construction and they were jack hammering all day. No staff member knew where to get beach chair towels nor cared to find out. Service in the doning room was not any better. Its to bad what a great location and newly decorated hotel.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 9 of 10Needs better management and upkeep!
The hotel front desk was indifferent and not very helpful. Elevators were not working properly and had to use service elevators. Service in restaurant at breakfast was very slow and also indifferent. Pool area was not maintained-- palm fronds had fallen over chairs and weren't removed for at least 2 days, if then. Hot tub was not working properly and no one was attempting to fix it. Curtains in many of the public areas had holes in them. Price charged was not a bargain for these accommodations. Also, bad odor coming from bathroom sink. Would not stay here again!!!!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 10 of 10Great facility but with some shortcomings
The room was terrific with a very nice view. Nicely appointed, large flat screen tv, kitchenette. Very nice But sink in bathroom did not drain.. ugh Someone else's hair on the bathroom floor. Double ugh, 2 out of 3 guest elevators NOT working. Valet parking $13 or park yourself $11. This with huge!! parking facilities right there. Not fair to guests.
