As quaint as I anticipated, but no hot water in the shower, and the bathroom sink was on one wall, and the mirror behind you. Makes shaving a challenge.

Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 7Quaint, not great.
The cabins at this place are cute but desperately in need of renovation. The walls are thin, the roofing shingles are warped and deteriorating, the windows are single-pane, the interior beams have bark on them -- which may add rustic feel, but also gives spiders and other creepy-crawlies a great place to live. I actually found weeds growing up through the gap between the baseboard and the wall in our bedroom! Also, believe the other reviewers who said this place is LOUD. Even though our cabin was in the second row back from the street, the road noise was still amazingly loud. I'm just glad we stayed here in the off-season when the room was "cheap". Staying here in the high-season would be an unbelievable rip-off.

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 7good location, but not great to spend time
calling the rooms "cottages" is a bit of a strech. It's more like a gravel parking lot (with trees), with a number of converted garages serving as cottages. The one we stayed in had views of the neighboring buidling's dumpster and parking lot. Having said that, it did serve our purpose of having an affordable place to stay in Aspen. The bathroom was clean. The kitchenette was very small; not really useable for anything beyond boiling water. The carpet and walls and decor were dingy, making it feel dirty.

The hotel needs to be updated especially bathrooms. I had no hot water one day and there is no internet.

Trip Type: Romance Review 7 of 7Even for the money...
While this is one of the more affordable places to stay in Aspen, beware the extremely uncomfortable bed. Not only is it bouncy and lumpy, the cabins are so small there is no place to sit other than the bed. So the fact that the headboard is fashioned from small branches is crazy. You can't even lean back on it when sitting on the bed without being poked. The bed in a very small loft wasn't worth the steep climb from the ladder and the probability of waking and hitting your head on the ceiling.
