Trip Type: Romance Review 1 of 31Get there before 10 pm
The late staff was not helpful and they were incredibly slow. I would recommend for the money to stay somewhere else.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 31Not what one would expect
$32 to park, $20 for internet, $10 to use the exercise room, $5 to use the elevator(just kidding about that last one but seriously there is a fee for everything in this hotel!) Hotel is in a great downtown location. Rooms are dated big time for the quality of hotel this is supposed to be. The rooms are not that luxurious, looks like they cut corners on decorating to save money(CRT TV's seriously?). Bath rooms lack sophistication, just an open space no separate shower, tub or lavatory space. Front desk staff are incompetent and are not empowered to handle even the most mundane issues.

in website, it was told parking rate is 14 and they charge 22 when we arrive. They charge everything : breakfast, internet, pool.... not worth!

Trip Type: Business Review 4 of 31Try the Marriott or another close by
Checking in on Saturday for 3 night stay, there was a hotel party at the swimming pool with a loud band until 1 am all we could hear in our room was the thump of the loud base. Of course the Manager and Asst Manager were not taking phone calls.....( we were on the 12 th floor )

The hotel charges for parking $22 for self park and $32 valet per night. We did not found out about this until after we booked our room.

Trip Type: Romance Review 6 of 31OK
Walking into the hotel I thought I was in a 4 star hotel, but then went to my room and that changed and I felt like I was in a motel. You could see paint scraped off and see the wood underneath the sink that should have been painted. I stayed in the Harbor Tower and I think the Seaport tower is probably a better stay but more expensive since it has the suites it seems. An OK stay but I'll look for somewhere else next time.

Trip Type: Romance Review 7 of 31Too noisy, little concern for customers
Stayed over weekend. Beautiful view on 28th floor with window that opened to let in fresh air. Problem was, the hotel's club was an outside venue on the 3rd floor. Needless to say, loud club music is not conducive to sleeping. At midnight, I finally feel asleep with a pillow over my head and the window closed. Let management know, no change in loudness of music. Also spent 45 minutes looking for a parking space, ended up parking in valet area(then had to worry about being towed). Cost $22 dollars per night yet did'nt seem to have enough customer parking. Lastly, had a beautiful pool but it was closed for a private party (convention group) after 4pm on Saturday. Just seemed like hotel had little concern for regular customers..

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 31Nice stay
The location and cleanliness of this hotel was great. The customer service was good, but the room comfort was not what I expected from a 4 star hotel.

Pros- decent room with view of water, and outstanding service. Cons- Bed was not comfortable for my taste, and the room was quite noisy. The train and the trolly both going by all day and evening, hallway doors slamming etc. Keep in mind that there are fees for parking, internet and the gym.

Trip Type: Business Review 10 of 31Overall Experinence
The customer service was top notch in every way. The food in the hotel is expensive and not good. The room was a little shabby. Food from previous guest was left in refrigerator and the iron was missing. Bathroom ceiling in poor shape. A/C barely functional. Nice public areas.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 11 of 31A grand lobby, that is about it.
This hotel has comfortable beds and a great lobby, that is about it. I bought a Regency Club room and was placed in a standard room with more pillows but was given access to the regency club, not worth the fee. The regency club is way overpriced. Not a bad deal at the standard room rate. Valet is very expensive. After hours staff not a strong point.

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 31nice hotel but have to pay a fee for small things that should be included
the hotel location is very close to downtown glasslamp quarter with many great restaurants. no problem finding a place to eat but trying to find parking in the area is quite difficult. it has a nice swimming pool and plenty of chairs. on the same level as the pool's there are two ping pong tables, 1 Foosball, and other games that I play with my kids. I don't like that the hotel has a fee for their gym/workout room, internet access, especially a parking fee of $22 per night for self parking. I don't mind staying there again, I'd recommend it too, but I might look for other hotels next time.

Trip Type: Romance Review 13 of 31really poor service
Checked in went to our room and it was not made up yet. Called the front desk and they said they would send someone right up with a key to a different room. Waited a half hour and called again to start the process all over. Took an hour to get into a cleaned room. This was just the start...worst service I have ever encountered and I travel a lot.

Trip Type: Business Review 15 of 31It was ok
I found the hotel to be "alright". I was extremely disappointed by the amount of hall noise all hours of the day/night. I was specifically upset with the cleaning service nocking on the door at early hours, and noise transfer from room to room. I will be back to San Diego next year, and will try a different hotel.
