Tipo de viaje: Business Reseña 1 de 38Good property - hard to get to, charge for parking
Property and rooms are very nice but signage to property is too small and there are so many cross roads and wrong turns it is very hard to find/get to. Also, they gouge guests $10/day for parking even though the lot is at least 50% empty all the time.

Tipo de viaje: Business Reseña 2 de 38Beware of this
Hotel under construction and not completed as stated. You checkin in a guest room. Old hotel with new paint job. Whoever heard of a hotel with a pedestal sink and no place to even set down a toothbrush?

Tipo de viaje: Special Event Reseña 3 de 38Rude staff, excess charges, terrible
I stayed here with a wedding party. While Hotels.com did list the property as being renovated, nothing prepared me for the mass of heavy equipment you had to dodge to get into the parking lot let alone the sheer volume of the noise. Finding where to register was a mess. There was a small sign on the side of one of the buildings. If you didn't see it you were out of luck. The registration is in a motel room. It was cramped and extremely unprofessional. The staff were rude and unwelcoming. On thing that was not listed at the time I made my reservation is you have to pay an additional $10 per day to park. And it's not like there is any alternate parking. Getting down to the rooms, the decor is tacky like left overs from a bad 70s hotel room. They call it 'Maya' but it is more Aztec. Green and orange are not calm and welcoming colors to me. There was dust everywhere (and my room was not adjacent to the heavy construction area). The cleaning staff seems to do as little work as possible. The key to the mini bar is not in the room nor was I offered it when I checked in. I had to call the desk for one which they wanted me to come get. Finally someone grudgingly brought it up so I could get some water. Ice machines are only on the first floor so you have to go up to your room, get the ice bucket and go back down for ice and back up once again. The elevators are tiny if you're clausterphobic I wouldn't recommend them. The bathroom is atrocious. First there is not a separate vanity area but worse is the lighting. Ladies don't even try to put makeup on in the room. I think they're using 40 watt bulbs. There is no where for you to put your personal products either. But the real deal breaker is the shower. Ok I understand about conservation but it took me 15 minutes just to rinse off. I'd still be there if I had to wash my hair. There are several more negative things I could say about the rooms but I think you understand that I was very unhappy. The only postive I can give them

Tipo de viaje: Business Reseña 4 de 38They charge you for things you did not use! Noisy!
There was a noise all night long outside our room. It was some kind of compressor in the yard just beyond our room, and it went off every few seconds with a loud high-pitched noise. Also the freeway was very loud and you could here the trucks until the wee hours. Don't stay in bldg. #4 Room 4512. The maid did not make up our room. We had to call 2 times before they sent up fresh linens. I was charged for items in the mini bar and I did NOT consume a thing from it!!! Who knows if the items were even there to begin with!? Don't stay here! Horrible!

Tipo de viaje: With Friends Reseña 5 de 38Beautiful hotel except for guest noise
Beautiful hotel rooms, stylish with modern technology like flat panel TV, wireless service, etc. Outstanding view of Long Beach harbor and downtown skyline. Remodeling construction had to be "worked around" but wasn't bad. Problem: hotel guests "partied" all night long; this noise was way out of line for a high quality hotel.

The hotel is under construction so room selection was minimal. This was a suprise. Location and room renovations are good. Television channels were very limited and many did not work

Tipo de viaje: Overnight Stay Reseña 7 de 38Experience with Customer Service: Horrible
I would caution against staying here: The room was clean and comfortable, the restaurant and pool not available due to construction- understandable but not advertised, but the front desk- incompetent. Our experience: check in is at 3 pm, check out at noon. We had a family open the door of our room with their key cards at 9:30 am because the front desk computer said the room was available. I had just gotten out of the shower. My husband's and my key card no longer worked to open our door, and the front desk was not able to reactivate them, nor offered anything more than a later checkout without a manager on site. The manager was off for 2 days, and has refused to return 3 different voice mails from me asking for an explanation/compensation for our lack of service. Customer Service is my profession, and I am extremely unhappy with the service at this hotel.

Tipo de viaje: Not Provided Reseña 9 de 38Very Disappointed
My husband and I were not happy with our stay. We drove by the hotel a few months ago and it looked great from the outside as well as the inside. When I made the reservations online I was extremely excited to visit this hotel. When we went to check in it was under construction. Why were they booking rooms if they were under construction?? That night my husband came to me and said, "You woundn't believe what I just saw in the bathroom. A roach! We checked out early.

Paid for additional adult, but no rollaway bed was available. We were told that there was insufficient room. At least a decent mattress could have been provided (such as an inflatable mattress).

Tipo de viaje: Family Reseña 12 de 38Falls Short
The waterfront is littered with trash and the remodeling project has shuttered the hotel's restaurant. Although the rooms were clean and comfortable, the feeling was one of a cheap hotel, something that woud be more fitting along a freeway exit than along prime waterfront real estate. The exit to get to the hotel is inconvenient; there was no sundry shop; they charged $10 per day for parking. I don't recall any of these details being listed in the hotels.com description.

Tipo de viaje: Business Reseña 13 de 38Lacking Quality
I was not told when I reserved a room here that the hotel was under extreme construction. All of the hotel's facilities were closed, and the construction started at 7am and continued all day long. Not only that but the walls of the rooms are very thin. I could hear the person in the room next to me peeing when I sat on my bed. Not only that, the maids were going up and down the halls all day long yelling to one another and slamming doors. This is not a peaceful hotel and if you plan to relax by the long beach coast, consider another place to stay. I should also point out their high speed internet was extremely slow, and they charge $10 a day for parking.

Unknown to us we had booked the evening before the Long Beach Marathon. We were told nothing about this upon check-in. In addition there was a dog show taking place on the grounds with hundreds of dogs barking all afternoon and evening. At 4AM we awoke to the sound of voices only to look out from our balcony to realize we were at "mile 3" of the marathon. A call to the front desk informed us that we could not leave the parking lot (self park but a charge of $10???) untill 9:15AM. Again we were not informed of this when we checked in. As we were planning on leaving the hotel at 7AM this threw a wrench into our plans. We were able to finally leave at 9:30AM. As an added bonus the TV remote didn't work either. Though we were only there for a night to attend a party we do travel extensively as in the last 3 years we have stayed in hotels and resorts in Spain, Wales, England, Greece, Italy, Las Vegas, Key West, Hawaii and French Polynesia. This one, by far, was the worst experience ever.
