terrible hotel

the hotel was dirty, stinky of mildew, the sheets and blankets spelt. I will never stay there again. It was horrible, i will never stay there again and nor will i ever recommend anyone to stay there. I would love nothing more than to get my money back.....

Needs Improvement

I booked this room thinking that I would be staying on the strip and arrived to find that this was not not the case. I arrived at a very rundown looking hotel which was located several miles from the beach. They were working on the hotel, but it looked as though it was not even open. I walked in to find chairs on the tables of a resturant that was suppose to be open. The pool which was only 5 feet deep but clean and an old scary looking elevator. These was a weird scent throughout the hotel, but when I got to me room it was clean and cool. I found everything I needed inside except for an iron. When I went downstairs to inquire on things to do locally, I was was given very good suggestions from a friendly staff and printed directions. For the money I paid, I expected more because in order to be anything on the strip I had to pay for parking, but overall it was a good experience. If you want something off of the beaten path, I would stay here. It is need of renovations, but they were working on it while I was staying there, so it may be better now.

Mold

Some of our party found mold in there rooms growing on the ceiling. We elected to stay as our room was OK-relatively clean and mold free. As we were in the area to stay at the beach, we weren't overly concerned with the accomodations. That being said, the hotel clearly has a mold problem and I would not recommend this hotel to others.

Great room for the money

I was pleased with the staff at this hotel the front desk guy was great. The room was ok you get what you pay for. I had 2 rooms there and one was not cleaned the way it should have been and breakfast was till 9 but at 8:45 we were told we missed it so my boys had to wait longer till I found a place for them to eat. When the room being clean was brought to the attention of managment the my cousin who was in the room was called a liar. I did not find this to be very satisfying of a way to address our issues. but the hotel was good for the money and the pool was nice.

Breakfast bar was inadequate and dirty by 8:00 a.m. Room was not stocked with toiletries regularly. Towel bar fell off wall on day 1, but was reinstalled.

Needs improving and updating

We booked this hotel for a family outing and reserved 8 rooms requesting them at least reasonably close. Checked in all 8 rooms and were spread through 4 floors. The only thing pleasant about this hotel was the staff, but they were limited in what they could do. 5 of the 8 rooms had maintenance problems of some sort ranging from plumbing to no working phone. In our room the phone not only didn't work, but the wires had been removed in the wall. Would have appreciated being warned. The smoke alarm clicked all night and a dead roach was by the A/C and not picked up the next day of cleaning. Also a towel and washrag looked to have been run over by the cart and hung anyway. Only 1 elevator worked, only 1 ice machine was running and the pool was either open or closed based on who was on duty. I agree with another review that pool should be opened later. Food ran out both mornings by 8:30. The staff was as accomodating as possible but this facility is in desperate need of updating. Also web site said some rooms had microwave and refrigerator, but failed to state that there was a $10 per item per day charge and some rooms would mean possible 20 out of 170 (only 1 of our 8 rooms had one). The location was the only plus, but definitely not worth the money

housekeeping service and general hotel maintenance

We informed housekeeping to come back in an hour to clean room because they came while we were getting ready to leave. Long story short they didnt come back and then when we called the desk she said housekeeping said you said not to clean room..whatever. then she promised someone will come clean because we were leaving again after 3 hours room still dirty. So we had to go and get out own clean towels and clean room for the night. Then to top it all off we had to walk up the stairs each time we came and went the elevators wasnt working. I will not stay here again

needs improvement

Mattress on the beds needed some up dating. rolled into the middle of bed when two people where in it. Bathroom need some up dating.

cheat isnt always better

you get what you pay for and didnt get a hole lot that what i pay for.

it was ok till the last night we were there, i got bit by a bed bug, and i saw it crawling on the bed so we had to sleep the rest of the night with the light on so i wouldnt get bit again.

Needs Great Improvement

First whole day and night room not even checked. Beds left unmade, dirty towels not picked up, clean towels not offered. Heat lamp in bathroom not working. Phone in room dead entire time. Spa closed.

Well when I got to the hotel it did not look the best from outside, I checked in and then it got worse. The carpet was dirty, the room did not look clean. The door used to go in or out that was near to out room did not work so then we had to use the one that was further. Breakfast mmm cereal,bagels, coffee and juice. The hot tub was not in service b/c of repairs. Overall the hotel was not clean, plus it was kind of smelly. I would not recommend at all..

No clean wash cloths, rooms were dirty, out of food for continental breakfast before 9:00 a.m.
