Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 24meh.
We would not stay here again. There was an extra charge for parking, of course, but internet was also an extra charge. It was very noisy; I guess it was the music at the bar that we heard late into the night and again early in the morning. Also, they serve a free continental breakfast, but only until 8:30!

My second mistake, after booking this place for a three day business trip, was expecting that the price tag would correlate with the accommodations and service. I was sorely disappointed, and if not for the no-refund policy, I would've moved to another hotel. The staff I encountered was friendly and helpful- but stretched too thin to be adequate. My bathroom wasn't clean upon arrival and a request to have it cleaned was never fulfilled. There was a loud vibrating noise coming out of the bathroom and an engineer assured me that it was just part of the plumbing, and that it's an old system. He suggested I close the bathroom door while trying to sleep. The parking situation is expensive and inconvenient, mostly due to low staffing and limited space. Don't bother with the "breakfast on the beach," it's a joke. The view is stunning, but beach views are plentiful in Waikiki. Stay elsewhere.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 4 of 24Don't drive if you are staying here!
The hotel is beautiful and very well decorated. It almost sells itself--ALMOST! Then you meet the staff and the lack of customer service. One major problem with this hotel is that the the bell staff and valet staff play double duty. This causes MAJOR backups in the garage. On a routine basis I would call from my room 10-15 minutes before going to the valet to get my car only to still have to wait an additional 40-50 minutes for my car to pull up. ALMOST AN HOUR WAIT WAS THE NORM! This is not good if you have appointments to make certain attractions on the island. Also, if you like being called "Bra" instead of "Mr. Such and Such" you will be at home. The front desk is equally as poor with customer service and was very unaccommodating. I was in town for a triathlon and had a $7000 bike that I wanted to store in a secure location. The lady behind the counter informed me that bikes were not allowed on the property and that I had to park it on the street. Calling all bikers! Does this appeal to you and your race needs? I think not. Later after talking with the hotel manager arrangements were made to keep it behind in the office (where it was maladjusted after being tuned for the race!) The maid service...well if they get to your room by 3pm you should feel fortunate. Honestly it is a crying shame, because this property is beautiful and in a perfect location on Waikiki, but the staff kills this place. Don't stay here.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 5 of 24Some Good, Some Bad
The location is very convenient being across the street from the beach and also had a great view of the beach. However, the elevators were very slow and would stop on random floors without the button being pressed. What made it worse was the elevators and hallways were not air conditioned.

When we first checked in, the toilet was broken. After a several hour wait after calling the front desk, we went to the front desk to complain. The toilet was fixed after another 3 hour wait. Fresh towels were never given unless we went to the front desk. I understand the "environmental friendly" hotels but 5 days with the same towels gets pretty funky. The location is great. The beach is right across the street. Breakfast is a cattle call. If you are not there at 6:30 AM, they will run out of food. The food is tolerable at best. If no maintenance is done to the hotel soon, this will have to fight for a 1 star rating. The elevators are in a sad state. The rooms are showing a lot of wear. My opinion is find another hotel.

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 24Valet parking and elevators were HORRIBLE!
Every time I asked for my car, it took FOREVER. One day I asked what the problem was, and his reply was, we have over 50 cars to many. NOT my problem. If I have to Valet my car, I expect reasonable service and at this price, I should have parked it in another parking structure and walked, it would have been faster and maybe cheaper. Every morning we waited and waited and waited for an elevator that had room for, 1,2,3 or for the 4 of us, so we could go down to the lobby. Everyday we took the stairs. UNEXCEPTABLE. The last day we had not water to shower with. they sent us up to the top floors to shower, the first room had NO water. So back down to the front desk and back up again. I now have to travel to Honolulu every Quarter on business, BUT I won't be staying here, FOR SURE.

Trip Type: Romance Review 10 of 24Good standard hotel on waikiki beach
standard and acceptable room, comfortable bed, everything was good. Good option if wanting to stay on Waikiki beach. Parking was not included, $20/day. Not a good beach for swimming - shallow beach filled with rocks & coral. better off heading to other beaches.

The location of this hotel is excellent, right on Waikiki beach, however the condition of the rooms were a bit disapointing. The popcorn ceiling was very disapointing as well as the condition and size of the bathroom. Also, their were some major issues with the elevators, several guests commented on how they would stop at random floors and the ride was a bit "bumpy". The location was excellent and everything it promised to be but I was disapointed with the room and the hotel staff in general was not eager to help with questions or problems like trying to get a shuttle to and from the airport.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 12 of 24Nice visit
This is a nice hotel, but rooms are small and we had a view of the roof of the lobby. It is on the far end of Waikiki, but there is a lot of night life and resturants nearby. The bathroom was extremly small and could use to be remodeled.

We had the room which shared a wall with several elevators, so that wasn't very nice, but the worst was that Internet wasn't working or was intermittent. We didn't find the staff to be particularly helpful in this area. Aside from the hotel look (which was too "boxy" for my taste), it didn't have a lot of the amenities that I think of when I hear the word "resort". However, some people like this type of hotel. I just prefer smaller, cozier ones.

Trip Type: Family Review 14 of 24Good location, good hotel, major inconveniences
The location, view and pricing were all practical and competitive for the area. I would definitely stay there again if not for two major inconveniences. 1. The in-room Eithernet did not work in either of my two rooms and despite over five calls for helps over 5 days it was not rectified. They kept telling me it was my computer, which has worked fine on over 20 different hotels. They did have free wireless in the lobby which was okay, but my wife had several school assignments to complete and we booked this hotel based on the in room internet service. The wireless did not reach our floor either. lastly, my wife was kicked out of the wireless lobby at 9:30PM on Sunday evening so they could wax the floor. This just added salt into our wounds. 2. The elevators required room keys to activate going up to your room. This proved to be very annoying as the keys only work about 50% of the time. The other 50% your are left at the mercy of the elevator and which floors are calling for service. As we were on the 24th floor, it never made it to our floor and we had to get new keys reissued twice in five days. It might have been a great idea to keep non guests from using elevators but to do it at the expense of your guests does not make any sense to me or my family. Especially traveling with kids extra inconveniences seem to be amplified. If these two issues had not happened I would be all positive.

Trip Type: Romance Review 15 of 24Nice, but busy
Hotel itself was beautiful, but not right on the beach like I was lead to believe. A very busy road is between the hotel and the beach. Breakfast each morning was a nice feature. Was checked in on the 6th floor but had to be moved due to loud bar just below with a live singer every night til 11:00pm
