Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 10Good Value
Other than not having toothbrush/toothpaste either as a courtesy or for sale after my 2 a.m. arrival, this hotel was a good value for a discounted, on-line rate I received. Room was small but with a kitchenette (fridge and sink), along with a small yet new TV. Single lobby elevator is small and slow, and neighborhood is a bit "sketch" especially at night. However, this revitalized property is a blessing and beacon in the neighborhood, and is well located to the Space Needle, waterfront, and downtown.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 3 of 10Nice hotel, not nice location
This is a hotel which looks great online but very different when you get there. No problems with the place itself-clean, a business center to check email, microwave and fridge if I wanted to use it...and it was close to the light rail, Pike Market and Space Needle. The problem here is the neighborhood. The ongoing construction didn't help, but an awful vacant lot next door, poorly lit street and homeless people and prostitutes in full view. The dive bar across the street didn't help attract a great crowd either. Unless you are in your 20's and don't care, spend the extra money and stay at a recognized chain in the retail part of town. This place charged more than what the atmosphere should have allowed, although if it charged less the crowd would likely be worse..

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 4 of 10Needs Air
Enjoyed our stay, it was good for the rate. Needs air in the room, if you can't sleep because of noise like me it;s not a place for you the street is noisy if you open the window to let the cool air in.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 5 of 10Hotel great, neighborhood not
This is a great example of a place that looks wonderful online but very different when you get there. The hotel itself was fine-nice staff, clean rooms, a business center where I could use computers free to check emails, and the location within a stone's throw of the water, Space Needle, Pike Market and light rail to go to the ballpark or other destinations. However, it was the neighborhood that was quite scary. The road construction around didn't make it any better, but walking along Third Street (the main bus route) there were many vacant buildings, a few dive bars and unclean people just hanging around. The view from my window was of a dumpy open lot scattered with junk next door, and the walls of the building next to it covered in graffiti. Just steps from the entrance I was approached by a young girl who said she was pregnant and hungry and wanted money, and there were a number of ladies of the night walking around. This hotel is noted on many maps so you'd think it would be OK...and the Belltown section of town is noted in a Where Map as "a chic residential area" with "a roster of trendy clubs, boutiques and eateries". While the hotel is fine the area is dark and doesn't appear all that safe. If you're in your 20s and don't care it's a nice place to stay, otherwise you probably should spend the extra $ and stay in the nicer places in the retail area.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 8 of 10Stay elsewhere!
The hotel didn't have that many problems. However the elevator quit causing us to hike stairs. The biggest problem was that the windows were not well insulated against noise and the "park" across the street is a dog park as well as a drug lot. The noise throughout the night was horrid!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 9 of 10EXCUSE ME!! GOT A KEY!!
I picked the Belltown from hotels.com based on location. The stay was one of the worst experiances of my life!! Our room was beyond small(tiny), my wife and I could not breath. We left our room five times during our stay, and upon returning could not get back in our room!! I had to go back down (while my wife waited in the hallway) to get our keys recharged, each time with a different excuse from the staff. The inexperianced staff. The room was not even worth the discounted rate provided by hotels.com.

BOOKED OUR STAY BASED ON LOCATION AND PREVIOS RATINGS,BUT THIS HOTEL WAS NOT EVEN EQUAL TO ITS WINTER RATES. NO PARKING,OK NOT UNUSUAL. ROOMS ARE TINY, BATH WAS ALMOST TOO SMALL. MY WIFE AND I LEFT OUR SMALL ROOM FIVE TIMES DURING OUR TWO DAY STAY AND FOUR OF THESE RETURNS TO OUR SMALL ROOM, WE WERE UNABLE TO RE-ENTER BECOUSE OUR KEYS DID NOT WORK. EACH TIME CAME WITH A DIFFERENT REASON. NO REASON!!! JUST LIKE THE VERY UNHELPFULL STAFF. WILL NOT RETURN THANK YOU KEYLESS
