Sheraton Suites Orlando Airport

Bad experience

Its a single story hotel (suites only!) The A/C in the room was a bit noisy. The worst problem was the yard sprinklers. They came on just past midnight...and one of the sprinkler was pointed right at the window of my room and was making the noise all night long. Complained it to the front desk and they said it was going to be fixed but it was not.

Needs Improvement

Location is great, just few minutes to the MCO airport which is good for catch up an early flight. But the room is not clean enough which needs improvement. Also there's a strange smell in the room not sure what it is.

needs a good cleaning

We found a lot of mildew all over the bathroom. Not just in corners either. I took a washcloth and wet it to clean off a cluster of mildew about 3 inches across from the center of a tile about eye level. It came off easily, so seriosly, when's the last time it was wiped? The carpet in the bedroom was also wet near the ac unit. About a 4x4 foot area. It was OK for the low price we paid, but they need to improve cleaning here. OK location for the airport, but way to far out for theme parks, plus a toll road to get there.

Insects!

Hotel was not bad until we carefully looked for insects. Yuuk!

The hotel needs to be cleaned. The fitness room was nice. The buffet breakfast was expensive.

Needs Improvement

I have been to many sheratons over the years, in different countries..and i expected to feel the unique experience i always have whenever i'm at sheraton. usually sheraton is the number one choice for me. But here we were told we would get wireless in the room for an extra 9 dollars per day. we took it up and we had no service, the receptionist was totally unware as to wat we were trying to explain to her and all she said was the techs would have to come in and it would take close to 2hrs to fix the same. the floors were so dirty and the place near sink was terrible, it was wet and so messed up, i was amwazed if this really was sheraton. but other than these two defects the stay was good.

NEEDS IMPROVEMENT

The location of the hotel was good - we were not using the airport but the sound level was good - did not hear the planes. Nice to see the ducks and ducklings in the pool. We stayed 2 nights. However, the whole suite needs renovation and the corridors. They are dark and drab; the fabrics in the suite are also gloomy. The mattress was soft and rolled into the middle. We were left an empty tissue box for the 2 days and no tea bags. I would try other hotels in the area in the future for comparison.

Being a Sheraton brand, the hotel needs to improve room cleanness and décor.

Cleanliness expectations

I've come to expect a lot from the Starwood brand of hotels as I am a frequent traveler & Starwood is always my first choice of accomondations. This hotel really didn't meet my expectations mostly based on the fact that the bathroom was really not very clean. This is a basic expectation of any hotel I choose & was really disappointed to not have a clean place to stay while I travelled - no matter what kind of deal I received on the stay.

Nice but Pricey

The hotel was nice. Most Sheraton hotels are nice but it is a bit pricey. Thats the Orlando area for you though. Get what you paid for.

HOTEL EXPERIENCE

Hotel room was fine. Staff was very helpful. Little things such as when we booked 4 people in room - we should arrive and 4 sets of towels - had to request. Ice machine on our floor was broken. Apparently there was a sign at front desk area - simple to just put sign on machine also to inform where other machines were. Could hear very clearly outside hallway what people were saying while in their rooms. We arrived on a Saturday and informed desk that outside garbage was overflowing. They stated they would have someone take care of it right away. Upon our leaving on Monday morning, it was still there. Very noisy & close quarters in computer area - larger room and door would be better.
