Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 29Horrible. End of story
This was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The bed was a rock, we had a wonderful view of a brick wall, this was a 10 by 10 room with a queen bed, and last but not least the so called breakfast they serve is packaged muffins and bread you have to toast yourself. One good thing about this hotel is the location of it.

It was not bad. It was convenient because it is near to downtown and bart station. However, do not expect a good hotel. It's small and old. I was satisfied because I could get discount.

Trip Type: Business Review 3 of 29Very Noisy
If you like not sleeping, it is a great hotel. A lot going on near Union Square! Even bands on the corner, until 11:00 pm. I was cranky due to a 4:00 a.m. wake up.

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 29Good/Bad
The hotel personnel were very helpful and friendly. The hotel has charm and is convenient for tourists. The most incovenient things were the slow elevator, ice machine only on one floor, and no drinks machine in hotel.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 5 of 29needs improvement for cleanness.
I'd stayed here w/ my friend, and she told me that she felt a tickle, so we thought it might be due to cleanness about bed.. Its location is really really great. & their service is quite reasonable, but I disappointed at some point. First, at first night, the light in the bath was out of order, so I asked them correct it but they just told me how to correct it.. I wanted them to come and repair it.. Also, next the night, the window was stuck so we called him (I stayed there in Winter!!) but he said he could not help us right at that time, so he just made us try it ourselves. it made really really feel bad. Anyway, they kept my bags after checking out so that's helpful.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 8 of 29Nice location of the hotel, but you have to pay a parking fee
Dear Travellers, I booked this hotel because of the nice pics, the good reviews, the price and the free parking. I was really looking forward to see this hotel. After I checked in, my impression was destroyed by a woman at the rececption desk. She wanted to charge additional 28 Dollar for parking ("this normally is a good price in San Francisco") but on hotels.com was written, that the parking is for free. Therefore, I booked this hotel. She also suggested to go out and find another hotel or parking...this is not really a good service...! The room was really, really small and there were lots of hairs on our bed...(not ours) I would not recommend this hotel to other travellers!

Trip Type: Business Review 9 of 29Convenient, but dissapointing...
The pros: Reasonable valet parking fees (for SF) Includes breakfast Convenient to market, union square, etc... The cons: Forgot wake-up call Brought the wrong car around in the morning stiff, uncomfortable bed hot - no A/C tiny rooms disappointing breakfast lost package delivered to hotel loud area

Trip Type: Romance Review 11 of 29Great if you party every night...
The good: The hotel and room was very clean. Your right in the heart of the big shopping stores. The staff was nice. The bad: Overnight parking will run you about $25 a night. The walls are paper thin so if you like to sleep, good luck with that! Our room literally had a view of a brick wall that was so close to the window that I could touch it. It's hard for an average person to sleep on the twin mattresses they provide and I'm only 5'6"! Overall: Yes it's clean and convenient but I rather stay in a motel 6 outside the city because at least I can have a good night sleep there.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 12 of 29Needs improvement
My daughter and I were completely dissatisfied with this hotel. The room was extremely small, leaving us no room to move around with two people present. The bathroom sink was in the sleeping area, rather than in the bathroom area, the bed was hard (felt like styrofoam), and the linens were scarce. Locationwise, it was fine, but for comfort, it was a disaster.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 13 of 29Good location, bad staff
Booked this hotel for the convenient location and that was definitely the highlight of the hotel. From the check in it felt that the staff was unwilling to accommodate anything for us above and beyond the standard offerings. I have stayed in hotels within the same vicinity for this same purpose (Nike Women's Half Marathon) and had the hotel go that extra mile, ha ha, to make sure that the stay was convenient and comfortable for us runners. This hotel couldn't guarantee they could hold our car later than normal check out, 11am, couldn't guarantee baggage to be held either. One front staffer told me he could and then when my husband checked out the front desk lady tried to tell him another story. She was not helpful and rude to my husband upon checkout. Also, our bathroom light shorted out in the morning and the rooms are as small as a broom closet. Overall, I think there are better hotels for the money that you can find in the area.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 14 of 29Great Location, Small Room
The room was very small and had no air conditioning. It did have a ceiling fan and windows with no screens. The room was very clean and had a flat screen TV that could be smashed by the bathroom door. The location was very convenient as it was right in the middle of Union Square. The parking was public only, but there are many public parking lots in the area. Overall the hotel is good enough to sleep in.
