Trip Type: Special Event Review 1 of 8Watch Out for Bedbugs
I statrted itching as soon as I slept one night in this hotel. Since coming back from Hawaii the itch has worsened. Since I didn't go anywhere but to restaurants and sightseeing with the car, I suspect bedbugs or some other parasite. The room stunk and I had to fumigate it with Lysol spray. The air conditioning was noisy and I needed to wear earplugs. There is only one ice machine for this approximately 15 story building and the ice was always out. This hotel needs to be thoroughly cleaned. The carpets appeared to be over 20 years old and might need to be ripped out. On the plus side, there's easy, cheap parking and it's conveniently located behind the Ala Moana Shopping Center. The staff are friendly and it's not their fault that the hotel is such a dump.

Trip Type: Family Review 3 of 8it's okay...
i'm a local here having my house painted so i decided to do a "staycation" and hotels.com had a "24 sale" so i booked right away. the few things that really bothered me was that the windows were not sound proof. i had a room overlooking the pool, but the noise from the splashing was so loud it was like i was right there at the pool. the drapes were not the black out type so i did some re decorating by hanging one of the blankets over the curtains so it blocks the light. i work at night at the hospital down the street (convient!) and found it difficult to sleep with all the light and noise. i asked the front desk for a room on the quieter side of the building and was told it was sold out. i'm sure if i shelled out more money i would have gotten a better room. don't get me wrong, i liked the location, the kitchenette, and the firm bed, but i think i would rather stay at waikiki next time because i could block out the noise and light.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 8Overpriced
Very overpriced. Ammenities Old, Building Old, and even Parking is overpriced. You would expect at least 3.5-star facility for price, but that's not what I got. It shouldn't even be a 1 star rating.

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 8Needs Renovation
Stayed at the Terrace, 1 Bedroom - Needs Renovation. Building old and run down. Room ammenities old, carpet smelled bad. It's located in a great area for shopping and local restaurants which was probably the only plus for the hotel. Hotel is overpriced for what you get.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 7 of 8Need's Improvement
We had originally booked a 1 bdrm room with a queen bed and 2 twins in the living room. When we arrived, we we're advised that all the 1 bdrm suites are equipped with twin beds only. The room was very old and the noise outside was extrememly loud. AC was only in the bedroom and bathroom was ancient.
