Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 11Good location
The location is his hotel is good. They were doing some construction out front when we were there. It really didn't interfere with our comings and goings. The only thing I would have against them is the elevators. They can be quite annoying. Only one elevator will take you to the parking garage and laundry. There is no separate button for it. You have to play what we termed the elevator game. You have to keep sending the other 2 away until you get the right one. IHOP is in the lobby. Great service through them. There's a bus stop across the road. If you stay at this hotel and want to go to the beach or the international marketplace..let me tell you. When you exit the lobby onto the sidewalk, turn right. Walk a few blocks. You will find the market place. You can cut through there to go to the walkway by the beach. Much easier than driving. A lot cheaper than bus. Also, it's not that far of a walk. I did it and I have a back injury. If you have mobility problems as I do, you want to make sure there are places to sit along the way. I didn't have any problems.

Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 11Great Location
This was our first stay at the Ohana Maile. The location is great and it was awesome having IHOP in the lobby. The parking attendant was really nice and gave us extra coupons for activities.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 3 of 11Decent - They Forget to mention parking
The parking deck is an additional $20 per night and almost impossiblew to get in and out of with a truck or SUV - has a really steep grade up a sharp curve. The parking pushed the overall price up too far and you can probably find a better deal.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 6 of 11Great Service - Hotel being renovated/Needs more work
Well to be honest the location is great, the staff is awesome, the rooms are so-so, security is better than most (which was a nice addition) and the parking is really bad. Hotel is pleasant to look at from the outside. It is definitely an older hotel and is being renovated, but is still in need of a lot of work. The rooms had a damp smell and the carpets weren't very plush or modern, but the beds were fairly comfortable. We needed a fridge and microwave so it did cost us a bit more to have a suite. The bathtub was very small, but we took showers. They have a nice supply of hot water which was greatly appreciated. This was probably the best part. Air conditioning is only in the rooms, the walkways and elevators do not have air. We stayed on the 7th floor and you can hear everything going on around you including the trolley bell that rings all the time. The city seems to come to life after 7pm their time until 2am, so if you are a light sleeper you might consider a higher floor. There are 4 elevators and only one elevator to the parking garage. Car rentals should be done at the airport. Parking is $18 a day and is not included in your room rate. The driveway is SO NARROW that it is very challenging/frustrating to get in to the parking lot drive way or you enter the exit which is shared for IHOP restaurant (in hotel) partons. Parking attendents are very helpful and friendly. Internet for the week was $25 which is not included in the room rate, but you can get free internet in the lobby. The front desk is great and very welcoming. Whoever answers the phone is very helpful too. I would call ahead if you have any questions. This isn't a fancy hotel and I think we paid too much, but there are a lot worse hotels around that area. Basically you walk to everything since there isn't much parking so take good walking shoes. It's very humid and it rained part of 3 days of the week. There are two stores on the corner for your basic needs. McDonalds is fairly close, but they are r

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 7 of 11Good Value for Price
Good choice for travelers/vacationers who use their room primarily to sleep. Older hotel, clean, pleasant staff, 3 blocks from beach and on main trolley line. IHOP adjoins lobby and McDonald's 1/2 block away for cheap breakfast. Stayed 3 nights in conjunction with 7-day cruise on NCL. Hotel is an excellent value overall for the price.

Trip Type: Business Review 9 of 11Central Waikiki, lots of Shops Around
There are lots of shops around, near some very fine restraunts, and 5 minutes from the Berach (walking). Excellent room and space if just you and anotehr are staying there. Kind Size Bed.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 10 of 11good hotel, expensive parking
The hotel was comfortable and was surrounded by waikiki IHOP was a nice treat, The parking garage was not included in the price of the hotel, which was not disclosed to me. Parking was 18 dollars a day for a guest of the hotel, i would recommend parking at Fort derussy if you dont mind a two block walk down kalakaua ave.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 11 of 11Very Impressed!
As soon as we pulled into the entrance, we were surprised.Previous experience with online hotel booking didnt go very well. Very friendly staff, hotel was very clean and a bonus, Ihop restaurant downstairs. We will absolutely visit this hotel again, no doubt. Also, security with the room key to come in and out of hotel was comforting. Any future visits to Oahu, we will be staying here.
