Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 433Nice place you've got here!
*room was clean. *bed was large (King) & comfortable, with a variety of pillow sizes & firmness'. *tub was over-sized & with plenty of hot water to fill it! bathroom could've been better engineered to more effectively utilize the small space. minor things such as: only 1 light switch controlled all 3 areas (toilet, shower, vanity) - only all On or all Off at the same time. No towel ring/rack/hook in the vanity area. No fan. these, however, were only slight inconveniences. *9th floor facing Post rd - experienced very little street noise. only time other guests were heard was if they spoke in the hall directly outside our door. *staff was helpful without being intrusive. *provided robes were a nice touch! located in the heart of Japantown, neighborhood was pleasant with plenty of food & shopping within walking distance.

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 433Fun Hotel in Japantown
I found a great deal on this hotel, so booked a room and was very pleased with the quality of the room for the price paid. I like the location in Japantown -- i like sushi, and so there are at least 20 sushi places in a block or two walk. This is a fun place if you do not have to be in downtown San Francisco. I would stay here again...

Trip Type: Special Event Review 5 of 433Fine hotel!
A very convenient location because it was close to restaurants and to downtown SF, not to mention bus stops. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The room itself, while ample for two people, was a bit small for my wife, my son, and me. Also, I expected two queen-sized beds, not the two doubles that I got. Overall, however, a good experience for our family.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 9 of 433nice kept secret in san francisco
the room we stayed in got hot at night, and the only way to cool off was to open the door to the balcony. the balcony is shared with the room next door, so if you don't know who is staying next to you, could be creepy. I was with my husband, so not fearful, but if I was alone, it would have been a very uncomfortable room climate. We couldn't figure out the thermostat and the fan was very loud.

Trip Type: Business Review 15 of 433Good Hotel
Given the times we're in, this hotel did well. Overall, we had good experience because the hotel is comfortable. We would give it an average rating. The service was good, except in the bar/restaurant, which was a little lacking and slow. The front desk attendant upgraded us to the club level because of availability and probably because we are Joie de Vivre members. The design is a bit tired, but I'm sure there are no funds for renovations at this time. The trip from the second tower down to the fitness room meant walking through the downstairs prefunction area, which was full of people attending a conference, so this was a bit awkward, us in our work-out attire. I am not a fan of the sleep-number bed, but if you love it, you will love the beds.
