Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 2 of 34Convenient Hooker Chateau
If you are looking for a lot of "working girls" convenient to your hotel, then this is the place. If you want a wonderful view of the parking garage, squeaky tires and all, what a paradise. When you check-in and go into your room, you will find that the hotel has included a pair of ear plugs for your stay....aahh how convenient. Need I say more? You are truly dumber than I was if you book this hotel. I am not that picky either....since I am truly a backpacker.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 3 of 34Sleep with your ear plugs in
You want a quiet, idyllic, serene Hawaiian vacation? Don't stay at this hotel. If being in the middle of all the action and noise is your thing then this is the place of your dreams. Really, the ear plugs they give you are vital for any real REM sleep. The two night clubs below, the hubbub in the street. The screaming/yelling/puking/alarms are your constant night-time lullaby. The up side. 3 queen beds, nice. Location, perfect for the price, a block away from the main drag and 2 blocks to the beach. Pool is about the same size as a generous hot tub. Parking is a joke, but there's a great parking place for $5 less right next door and it's more secure. The bathrooms were yuk, moisture in the carpets, soft beds and a water leak from above. One elevator not running so stairs were handy. Won't stay here again. I'm looking for that Hawaiian dream hotel still.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 5 of 34Won't stay there again
The hotel was located between 2 alleyways that seem to attract a lot of drunks, and just unruly people. The stench from the big trash bins was horrible. We had to pay for parking which I thought was way too much. People used the parking lot of the Waikiki trade Center next door as a party place, yelling, drinking, racing their cars until dawn. We had to pay extra to change our room to the upper floor to lessen the noise.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 6 of 34Convenient, Spacious Rooms But Street Traffic Noise
Spacious rooms. Friendly staff and management. Free concierge on site major plus++. Main disadvantage is the surrounding street noise particularly since hotel is located on busy street next to International Market, garage, and nightlife locales. Wished I had brought a white noise gadget. If there's other available rooms, staff will try to accomodate you to another room.

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 34Needs lots of improvement
The Hotel does have lots of noises during night time, and they weren't friendly at all during our staying in this Hotel, they don't have any elevator from basement to the other floor and we have to use the steps, and more and more...

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 34Needs Improvement - and a very loud place to stay!
It's easy to miss because it doesn't have a driveway or even a prominent sign. The worst thing about it was the noise - there is a night club, apparently in the same building, that goes until late at night. It's also a bad sign when the hotel has ear plugs in the rooms for the guests to use. Even after the club closes, there are people in the streets until the early hours of the morning, shouting or playing drums. Parking was also a weird situation, as they ran out of space by the time we got there, but there is a garage next door. I've stayed in hotels in Manhattan that are quieter and easier to park in. The other thing that bothered us was the state of the bathroom - I know thatAqua spent a ton of money remodeling the rooms, but the bathrooms still had old fixtures and plumbing, and the (new) towel bars were coming off the wall. I don't reccommend this hotel at all.

Was surprised that workmanship like paint and tile in bathroom was below standard, our nine year old could've done a better job.

Trip Type: Family Review 11 of 34Overpriced
Rooms were comfortable and looked nice and modern. I'm not sure if this goes to all the rooms but they provided ear plugs and we definitely had to use them. At night especially Thurs-Sat nights, the noises of people bar hopping and going to the bar on the bottom flr of the hotel was too much. That aspect completely ruined it for me. Location is ok, about 5 min walk to the beach (through a somewhat sketchy alley shortcut) but not much around to do aside from ABC stores and medicore resturants

Trip Type: With Friends Review 12 of 34Great Staff, Mediorcre Room
The hotel is in the central Waikiki area, which is great if you want to be in the middle of the tourist trap. Parking can be a nightmare, but is available. The room was comfortable, but the walls are very thin and we could hear everything going on in the hallway and babies crying in other rooms. The bathroom was dimly lit and the tile grout in the shower was slightly brown. The beds were very comfortable, but one of the blankets had a large stain. The "pool" is in a very inconvenient location and was surprisingly small. The pool is the size of a large hot tub and in a very unappealing place, and not in the hotel proper. You have to walk through the garage parking and past other parked cars to get to it. The front desk and bellhop gave us amazing service. Despite my disappointment of the hotel, the service was outstanding. Overall it wasn't the worst experience, but if you plan to stay here for the duration of your trip and not just overnight like we did, I suggest that you find other accommodations if you’re tastes are remotely discerning. I’m not sure that the hotel is deserving of the three stars it has received, I’d say it’s a 2.5.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 13 of 34Terrrible view (parking garage) and very noisy
Two years ago we stayed at the Aqua Palms, paid the same price, and were looking forward to the same experience. The Wave is located in a very noisy area - street noise and loud music lasted until 2:00am and then the garbage trucks took over. We were 10 floors up, with our windows closed, and still found it difficult to sleep. The lanai was useless for having the leisurely breakfast we had planned - we overlooked a parking garage and a back alley - plus the Continental breakfast now costs $5.00 for minimal pastries and coffee ..... the fresh fruit we enjoyed at the Aqua Palms was not offered. Room was smaller and, unlike the Palms, there were no dishes, glasses or silverware for making our own breakfast. We left very early the next morning and would never stay at this Aqua location again.

Trip Type: Romance Review 14 of 34NOT SO GREAT!!!
IT SEEM LIKE IT WAS SO EXTRAVAGANT THE WAY IT LOOK ON THE WEBSITE. BUT IT WASN'T ALL THAT. I THOUGHT I WAS GONNA WALK IN TO A ROOM WHERE ME AND MY WIFE WOULD HAVE A ROMANTIC TIME BUT IT WASN'T WHAT WE EXPECTED. THE LOCATION WAS GREAT. YOU COULD JUST WALK TO ALL KINDS OF RESTAURANTS. AND FOR THE PRICE THAT WE PAID I THOUGHT COULD'VE HAD A BETTER ROOM.
