Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 34Okay Place to Stay
This is definitely a no-frills kind of place, which is usually okay with me. The window had a broken latch and wouldn't lock, which wasn't as okay with me. I arrived late at night and had to check in at the hotel next door, which was mildly annoying, and because no one was at the hotel's front desk, I couldn't get a wake up call or help with the broken window. I doubt that I will stay there again.

The room was never vacuumed the three days there on the beginning of our trip. The room had a funny odor to it. And the second room we got on the return from our cruise was never vacuumed either. I would not stay there again. The only thing you have going for you is the location.

Registration is at the hotel next door. You're required to sign a form declaring that any evidence of smoking in a non-smoking room will incur an extra $250 charge; then I found two cigarette butts in the trash can. It felt like a scam, but the staff were very nice and appropriately chagrined at this. There are absolutely no frills, but the room is basically clean and certainly comfortable, and the location is not bad.

While in a good Waikiki location, the "condo" nature of this hotel suggests lots of absentee owners, and it shows. Filthy hallway carpets, incredibly slow elevators [36 story building!] and stuffy, moldy room smell made for an unpleasant surprise.

Hotel can be described as barely adequate. Location is not a central location for Waikiki, either shopping or the beach. Hallways and elevators are in need of repair. The room is average.

The Bed didn't have a fitted sheet and it was cheap and uncomfortable. I didn't have a hair dryer in the room and called the front desk. They said housekeeper will be there soon. When housekeeping was at the door, she was loud and rude and said "I don't have a hair dryer, you have to go to the front desk and get it yourself". I called the front desk and he said "we have one down here at the front desk" I replied, do I have do get it myself? Then he replied "we have one at the front desk." Shortly after, the housekeeper knocked hard on the door and said "I have you're hair dryer". I was not able to come to the door so I told her to leave it. What a shame--very poor unprofessional service. Mahalo & Aloha!

Trip Type: Business Review 10 of 34Don't stay there
There are other hotels in the area that are cleaner, smell better and are just as affordable. I thought the kitchenet would be a nice feature to have so that's why we went with this hotel. It's not worth it. I will not stay there again and reccomend choosing something else.

the look of the hotel lobby totally belies the look and condition of the room. while the lobby was clean and classy, the the room was dingy and outdated.

I wish that Hotel.com would not even offer hotels that have as many problems as the Aqua Waikiki Marina. The hotel and rooms are shabby, shabby, shabby and there are things that don't work--like the cold water faucet in the bathroom. The staff would be nice and helpful one time and surly or avoident the next--mostly the latter. A policy of theirs that seems to capture the lack of customer service of the hotel is that they will give you complimentary coffee fixings the first day, but after that you have to go down to the lobby and purchase it for a dollar.

Dungy, dark and depressing. No light bulb in lamp, burned out light bulb in lamp, hard beds, outragous parking fees and only one day complimentary coffee. Highly disappointed.

The locked and secure garage and the view were really the only things that worked for me. Waikiki and Ala Moana Mall were not too far away as well; well within walking distance. A safe inside the room would have been a plus. I plan on spending more next time for a room with more amenities.

Internet didn work, tv remote didn't work. Did not have towels for the pool. Did not have a remote for the garage so we had to call every time to get in and out. Tried calling for directions from the airport and was put on hold. Worst hotel I have ever stayed at.
