Horrible Hotel - Do Not Stay Here!

We stayed at this hotel for one night prior to a cruise. We arrived at 1:00am and were so tired. The hotel is very hard to find. This hotel is Not close to the port. It took about 25 minutes to get to the Port of Miami. When you walk in the front door, the main lobby smells like mold. We were given a room which had no door locks and mold on the ceiling (dead bolt broke, and top lock missing). I requested to have our room changed. After much argueing with the man at the reception desk, he finally agreed to switch our room. The next room did not have mold on the ceilings and the doors did lock, but the lights didn't work except the bathroom light. The shower curtain was ripped and the toilet ran all night. The throw rung (which was a ripped piece of old carpet) was tattered and stained. The fake wood floors did not go all the way to the walls. Most areas had a 2" gap from the fake wood floor to the walls. We only stayed because it was 1:00am and we were leaving in the morning for our cruise. The only good points about our stay was our driver to the port was very friendly and courteous. He needs to find a better job for a clean hotel.

"More like the worst miami hotel"

The bathroom had broken tiles on the floor, creating a fall hazard. Two of three lights did not work in the room. The "continental breakfast" consisted of white bread or wheat, no toaster and margarine no jelly, and watered down coffee. The worst part was how much of an attitude the staff had, when just asking simple questions.

a Work in progress

We were not expecting a lot as this is a bargain hotel. However, we were dismayed to find the bed broken in our room. The box spring wood was actually split causing the bed to sag and creak terribly. They DID however send a man to look into the problem very quickly. I wish he had spoken English so I could tell him the problem. The bedspreads on both beds were also very worn and had large Holes in them. They did move us to another room very quickly. The other room was definitely a work in progress. I guess they are taking out all the carpeting in this hotel and replacing it with fake wood flooring. Our room did not have any baseboards or thresholds. We were also irritated with the Spanish speaking at the desk. True they were able to speak English to us, but while you are at the desk, they should not be speaking another language in front of you. I feel that is rude. I would not stay at this hotel again.

Worst hotel EVER!!!

The staff was horribly rude and the hotel was not clean. It smelt horrible and they had no were around there to eat. When asking the hotel staff for help they treated you like you were an idiot. We had planned to stay 3 nights in this hotel but cancled 2 nights and suffered 1 night. I will never stay here again and i do not recomend this hotel to anyone. Hotels.com should take this one off there list.

Not exactly Miami's Best!

Unfortunately from the minute we stepped in we were off to a bad start. First, the a/c was about 60 degrees, which was leaking, felt like a freezer, odd moldy smell, and unstable bed, we had to be switched to another room. The second room was located in front to the icemaker and was sounding all night preventing us from resting and not to mention a door to the next door neighbor's connecting to our room, we heard their conversation's all night long. I was looking forward to the breakfast and what we found were pieces of cold bread slices with coffee (due to the recession as per the employee serving) long lines to get to one of the 2 small toasters. If you plan to travel with children make sure to be ready with juice and milk, as this hotel only serves coffee and bread! Finally we were switched to a third room due to the unimaginably horrific circumstances of the last two; this one was also leaking and had a moldy smell, oh and be ready to pay $7.50 a night for parking your vehicle as you are their guest. First and last for me not worth the aggravation, Days inn beats this hotel any day, poor customer service, poor maintenance, and unhygenic, bogus breakfast, extreme cold a/c temperatures temperatures, didn't feel like a vacation, DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND. 2 nights & after the 1st night i couldn't cancel our stay as you had to pay for the 2nd night even if you cancel per hotels.com policy the clerk adviced.

horrible experience

I regretted to have booked this hotel the second we've stepped in our room. How can they call themselves a boutique hotel??? The best hidden secret of Miami?? Better nobody finds that secret out. The room was so little and so basic, the parquet floor looked like it had been cut with scissors. They have cut a piece of carpet to make it as an inside door mat. The mat was not even cut straight. Hairs in the shower. Both beds were unstable. Shower curtains were really old looking. I was glad we checked in late and had to leave early the next morning. This place is a dump.

Very basic - Cheap

There are very few frills in this hotel. It's basic and fine for a 1 night stay. 'Breakfast' is bread and coffee.

Needs Improvemet

I found the hotel to need physical work inside the room (bad paint job, wood framing missing, bad toilet, terrible shower head, leaking water from ceiling). The hotel offered a Continental breakfast, this was toast and coffee. Did like the shuttle to Miami Port. Although is becoming a norm, do not enjoyed being charged for parking. The staff was not friendly at all. Overall I do not recommend this hotel.

needs urgent improvement

since you arrival into the lobby you can smell a rare odor, the personal is not friendly at all, the gay in the front desk was talking to other people about was short in housekeeping personal. I had reservation for 2 days and I had to cancel once I arrival on to the room.

Needs improvement

Hotel needs lots of maintenance work. Main elevator in lobby did not work. Bathroom light in room had to be cut on and off several times for light to come on. Continental breakfast was bread and coffee. No fruit or juice. On-site restaurant was unexpectedly closed. Pool was shut down for 2 days ? Rates were good and shuttle was timely.

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR...

If you're looking for an inexpensive one night stay, Best Miami is not bad. The shuttle to an from the airport and seaport is what I was looking for and got. The drivers and staff and guests were very friendly, but the overall condition of the hotel needs work.

Needs Improvement

I think this would be a nice hotel if some maintenance was done. The air conditioner leaked. The television was really old and the buttons were broken. The water was cold. The rooms are not inspected to make sure cleaning crew has the rooms finished before assigning it. The list goes on basically whoever owns this hotel has just let it go and just rents rooms. Would be helpful if they had a printer for the computer to print checkin boarding passes. The front desk people we responsive. I am sure a some point this was a wonderful hotel to visit and could be again.

oustanding hotel

i dont know...if is good service but when mi control tv remote dont work, they only say we dont have batterys, and we dont know how to program to... I just ask for an busyness card and they don have to, they writhe the adress in an paper..and pass to me.!!!! the hotel need improvement en service and furniture, and renovations..!!
