Trip Type: With Friends Review 3 of 198Queen of Mismanagement
Let me just list a few problems with the Queen: 1. At check in we was greeted with a rude front desk employee. 2. Charged an extra $27 “Resort Fee” which was not opitional. 3. Once in our room and almost unpacked, the toilet overflowed, the bedding was dirty, most lamps did not work, and the safe was missing (included in your mandatory resort fee). 4. They was able to find us a different room, however, that room had carpet so dirty that we had to order extra towels to place over all the walking areas. The drapes were torn and had stains floor to ceiling. Two missing light blubs, one lamp had exposed electrical wires showing. Another lamp was propped up against the wall and fell over when I turned it on. 5. Anyone visiting this Hotel should bring your own mattress. Unless you like metal springs poking through the sheets. I was at this Hotel 10 years ago and it was wonderful. While I was checking out, I discussed these issues with the front desk, because the manager on duty had already left for the day. They even agreed with us, but could only say sorry. This place should be rented by the hour, because, in 5 minutes you will be ready to leave!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 4 of 198Not what I paid for...
The hotel and staff were very nice. I did not receive a king-size bed as I requested but it was very, very comfortable. The room was really really small. Nice stay for a couple that is ok with tight quaters. Couldn't take a decent shower, the shower head was in horrible shape

Trip Type: Business Review 5 of 198Average hotel, great location
The rooms were small but fairly comfortable. The sink was clogged in the bathroom and I had to call three times to get them to fix it and they had to try twice. They charge a resort fee yet they have no pool, jacuzzi, or any resort features. They claim to have a "fitness center" but it only has one workout machine and a tiny number of cardio items in a room as big as a closet. Very disappointing. Good location, though

Trip Type: With Friends Review 6 of 198Worst Service
Unless you are happy to line up for at least half an hour to get service from the front desk or the valet service, don't stay at this Hotel. The rooms are much smaller than the average motel. The condition is run down and needs the bathrooms to be redone. It takes at least half an hour to get wet from the low pressure showers. Overall very disappointing.

Trip Type: Romance Review 8 of 198Horrible Facility - Not worth any price
My stay at the Queen and Crescent Hotel was so bad that looking back on it, it's almost comical. I never write reviews online, so the fact that I am taking time out of my work day to write a poor review really reflects the poor quality of this hotel. Here are some highlights of what to expect: -Mandatory $7 per day charge for phone/internet at Check-In even after you prepay -I stayed in the second adjacent building which I could not get into until another guest let me in. My room key would not open the door and the actual door handle was broken. -I paid for a room with a Queen bed, and of course it was only a Full bed. Normally this wouldn't bother me, but the bed was uncomfortable and small. I didn't get any good sleep. These three issues really rubbed me the wrong way and I hadn't even been at the hotel for 30 minutes. Other concerns: -Lack of light. There was one "frosted" window in the room with a metal grate. One of the three lamps did not work. -Cleaning was lackluster. There was a used bandaid on the door and the mirror was clearly never washed. One day, there were no towels in the bathroom. -Whenever I had an issue, the front desk was busy. I couldn't tell if the phone didn't work or the front desk intentionally left the phone off the hook.

My first disappointment was with the check in process. The room was not ready by 4PM and the manager had no explanation of why. The temperature in the room was difficult to regulate consistently. I did not complain about the temperature I just dealt with it. However, the room did not have a T.V. remote and the safe did not work. I did complain about the remote and safe. The hotel did locate a remote but ask me to change rooms to resolve the safe issue which I declined. Ultimately, the hotel will survive because it is located in downtown New Orleans about mile or so from the French Quarter. It serves the purpose of having someplace to stay while in New Orleans. Also, it had a certain charm in its decor but I’m sure someone else could have a more positive experience.

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 198Not Recomended
The Hotel Reception was okay and the receptionist was helpful until we checked the room. The Bathrooms were dirty and there were no bath towels. Called the front desk about the bathrooms. They were supposed to send someone to the room with towels but they never came. Internet access is only available on the first seven floors. convenient for downtown and the Riverwalk, however would not recommend anyone stay at this hotel.

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 12 of 198Might Be an Abberation
I've stayed at this hotel 5 times now; each time you get a decent price, and decent proximity to Canal St., French Qtr and Harrah's. However, each of the last two times I've stayed here, the service with regard to valet parking has been nothing short of absymal. My girlfriend was forced to wait over 45 minutes for someone to just give her a ticket to park her vehicle; this was after I had spent nearly 25 minutes in line for check-in. I was told there was a Journey concert that night, but a glut of people going to see one of the greatest bands of all time is no excuse for bad service. No change when we checked out either--we were told it would be "a long time" before someone could retrieve the car, and we were denied the opportunity to go get it ourselves. We left, came back hours later, and then were able to retrieve the car. Same problems with valet--although not for quite the same ridiculous amount of time--the last time I stayed. This is a cute little hotel with a lot of potential, provided that they figure out this glaring issue.

Wow! At first glance, this hotel seemed like a gem on the outskirts of the French Quarter. I was beyond excited to stay at such a "luxe" hotel after viewing the pics online and reading some of the positive reviews. I decided that a few bad reviews wasn't going to stop me! So when we first arrived, the lobby was just gorgeous. However, it took thirty minutes for someone to even valet our vehicle! (that happened all weekened, btw...don't even plan on utilizing your car once you've valeted it). So once we checked in and saw our room, we noticed that it was extremely small though some might describe it as "charming". There were holes in our bedspread and the wallpaper was peeling off the bathroom wall. The sink was wobbly and leaking terribly. The toilet leaked and refilled all night long. In total, the bathroom needed a complete renovation. The housekeeping crew locked us out of our minifridge the 2nd night (but not the 1st) even though it was empty. It was a weird, overrated, expensive stay and I will never stay there again. When I return to the French Quarter I'll be staying at the La Quinta Inn across the street- I'm sure their sheets are not tattered.

The hotel itself was ok, but I reserved a King/nonsmoking room and when I got there to check in, I was told that there was none available. I had to accept a queen size bed and a roll away. The shower had no water pressure and the tub had not stopper, therefore, I had to stand under the showerhead as the water trickled down to rinse after my shower. The pipes were noisy, so when the neighbor flush turned on the water, I was awakened. I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN.
