POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE @ a Wonderful hotel

The hotel is right on the beach and is very clean. We checked in on a Thurs night and asked for help with our bags. There were no dollys around or I would have done it myslef. We waited for 15 minutes and just decided to carry our own bags up, and large cooler. Upon entering the room we were pleased as it was a beautiful 2 br suite. However I did not like the huge pillows and called the front desk to ask for a flat pillow and was told they would send it up. It never came. Second day called front desk to report curtains in our room would not close and told that maint. would fix. They never did. Requested more cream and coffee for our room of 4 adults and 1 teen and never rcv'd. But the thing that takes the cake is there was no maid service our 2nd day and we could not get the hotel to even bring us toliet tissue as we went to the grocery store and bought our own. To top things off, we found out why maint could not come to our room. When I was in the pool with my teen daughter she was playing with a float and the maint. guy rudly said she could not have that float in that pool. We gave it to him. NO ONE else was even in the pool area b/c this is the off season. We also asked for a comp. upgrade since the hotel was all but empty and was rudly told that was only possilbe with an upcharge. If you want a clean hotel right on the beach this is it, but DO NOT expect quality cust. service and dont forget to pack your own coffee, cream, and toliet tissue.

Room was Great the Pool area and Beach access terrible

You have to walk through the valet parking area in the "drive way" to get to the pool which is very small! I felt like I was taking my life in my hands everytime I wanted to go outside. The water was only 3 feet deep. They have some construction going on with their poolside bar, so they have a little make shift bar set up. They have 2 narrow walk ways to the beach, no seating out on a deck area over looking the ocean. The inside of our room had all the comforts of home, but the outside left a lot to be desired. Even the balcony was tiny. We had to move the small plastic table inside for the 2 of us to stand together. I also should have done more research about where it is located, because that location is not a great section of Myrtle Beach.

Bad Service, Ugly Rooms, Noisy

Hotel is incredibly nosiy with windows that look out on the hallway from the bedroom. The service is terrible where they will leave the phone to ring 20 - 30 times before picking up. There is no room service, beach chairs are rented by an outside vendor for $20 a day. They will wake you up at 9am on sunday morning to find out if you would like to take a tour of an available unit for purchase. DO NOT STAY HERE.

"Needs Improvement"

Our Daughter and new son-in-law sent my husband and myself to Myrtle Beach as a thankyou for all that we did with helping them with their wedding. They new that we would be exhausted and would need some time to rest and relax. This was our third visit to Myrtle Beach. The hotel staff at the front desk were fast and efficiant with our check in. The room was clean but small,we had a corner efficiancy with a very small balcony. The pool area is kind of small , and there were never any pool towels available. The pool bar really did not offer very much in food or drink. At times we had a very hard time with getting housekeeping to clean our room. The room had not been vacumed the whole time that we were there,and the floor was never cleaned in the bathroom. The last day that we were there, we could not get any clean wash cloths instead, they gave us hand towels to use. The next time we visit Myrtle Beach we will stay at another hotel.

small & dark with tiny balcony

The room was nice but was too small and now window other than the sliding door made the room seem rather dark. The balcony the smallest triangle you have ever seen, standing room only.

What a Disappointment!

Several of my family members have stayed here and recommended this hotel. To my and their great disappointment this stay/room was a bit disappointing. After making this known to the hotel manager, I was offered to move to another room if I was willing to pay the full rate of the new room at the current list price. The hotel was not full, other rooms were available. Also, inspite of a posted linen notice indicating changing of bed linen could be requested outside of the hotels normal 3 day cycle, housekeeping was not accomodating. I was given a set of sheet linen to change my own bed linen. Stupid of me to believe a hotel with this type of star rating/price would have their guest change their own linen. In summary, customer service at the hotel was lacking and my future visits to this area will not include this hotel.

Slow Front Desk

It took over 25 minutes of waiting to check in with only one couple in front of us. The room had not been painted in ages. There were scuff marks all over the walls. The kitchen sink had not been cleaned. The cups were put back in the cabinet dirty. Would not recommend.

Valet Parking

My only "issue" with this hotel was the valet service. I was told it was OK to park my motorcycle in a spot and hour and a half later found a warning ticket saying I couldn't park there. Later I saw a black Yukon parked in the same 15 min loading area for 2 days. When questioned, the valet said it belonged to "Mr. Anderson and he owns a 3 bedroom condo here, so he's allowed to park anywhere he wants." He will never see any of my business anymore........

Give you the "At Home" Feeling

My fiance and I enjoyed the hotel so much that we did not want to leave. I felt like I was at home. It was in excellent condition. The only problem we had was the air conditioner vent was making a rattling noise. I'm not sure if maintenance made an attempt to fix it or they couldn't find out what was making the noise. I would love to come back and visit the hotel and for the price, IT'S WORTH IT!

It was "okay."

We did not receive maid service one day although the room was clean and new. The hotel clerks were not well-versed on where to eat. The pools were narrow and not well-kept.

Horrible!!!!!

The front desk is of little help and the management must be on mars... Non existant!!! checked into the first room and there was trash everywhere along with a filthy bathroom... a lady at the front desk then "up-graded" me to a even dirtier room.. a dried up booger was on the master bedroom sheets along with the comforter being totally saturated and then the toilet had fecal matter sprayed all over the bowl... the "help" refused to change the linen on the bed. they brought clean sheets and told me that it wasn't their job to change sheets!!! after three days and no housekeeping service, my wife called the front desk and housekeeping requesting clean towels/washcloths.After waiting (literaly) one hour, a man came to our door with 2 rolls of toilet tissue. Neither of which she had requested. for the price i was paying and all the "good reviews" i read, i have come to this conclusion... NEVER AGAIN!!!

Expected more...especially for price

We were really excited to see the hotel. Knew it was a newer hotel and expectations were high. Unloading/loading zone is horrible-no room to park, cars were honking at each other, parking garage is behind other hotels. Our room had trash still in the kitchen area, there were only 3 towels for a room that sleeps 6 to 7 people. only 1 roll of toilet paper in room-had to go down to front desk to get more. Also same with ethernet cable! For the money paid-these things should have been brought to us. Don't know if hotel or Hotels.com is at fault for this one-but looking at amenities for hotel listed was breakfast. to me this meant free-but not so. but if you ask the front desk you can get a coupon! I would look at another hotel at this price.

not my idea of a good vacation

It was nice, but not worth the money. It was also really crowded. The employees there were not extremely friendly either.
