Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 1 of 13unfriendly!
The hotel is ok, but the "landlord", a family from India, is very unfriendly. First they graded us up, then they demanded payment for it. After having paid more than the price offerd by hotel-com, he never looked at me again. The "breakfast" was the least he dared to offer I believe. We saw a lot of hotels in the USA on our trip, but this one didn't give us a good feeling at all.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 13Dingy Towels and Linens
The flowers around the parking lot were amazing, but that's where the fun ended. The towels and sheets were actually grey. The lady at check-in was pleasant but the man who came out of the apartment was mean and grouchy. I noted other visitors had the same commment.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 3 of 13Low End Motel
I needed a quick night's stay and had said just a clean bed and bath would do. That's all you get here. The motel is listed as offering breakfast, but there is just a coffee pot (if you drink coffee, and I don't - no hot water for tea or juice) and a tray of small grocery pastries (out of the cellophane) and cut in half. It happened to be a Friday night at the beginning of a special event nearby so I paid a horrendous fee for the night, but it was still the cheapest night I could find - next time I would go to another place I know more about even if it cost more money.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 4 of 13OK room just for a place to crash
This place was the cheapest I could find for the area, considering that it was ok for the person who just needed a bed to sleep in and a shower the next day. Kind of old and ugly with paper thin walls. Is close to CSU Monterey Bay and the Cannery. Still do not think its worth the amount of money I spent

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 13Mixed Bag
This hotel has a good location: restaurants, major grocery stores, and gas stations are nearby. Also, it is not far from the Monterey aquarium or Fisherman's Wharf. Our room was fairly large and had three beds, but we did not find it totally comfortable. The mattresses were firm, and the mattress my wife and I slept on had a large dip in the middle; it was well worn. (It made us look forward to getting back home to our own bed!) The room is old and feels unpleasantly old. The bathroom had no towel racks. In all of our travels, we have never seen a room without a place to hang towels. However, every morning the staff did make up the room and provided us with fresh towels, which made up for the missing towel racks, sort of. Furthermore, I must say that the place was clean despite the old feel it has. So if you aren't going to spend a lot of time in the room, this might be the place for you--as long as you don't mind a well-worn, firm mattress.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 6 of 13Could be better but was clean
This was a last minute pick for me so I took what I could on my budget. The one thing that could be easily improved is get fitted sheets.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 13Bad Experience
The room was what I expected. There were very nice gardens outside the room and the building color was cheerful. Unfortunately, the manager woke me up from a sound sleep at 3AM yelling about the noise. Unfortunately, he had called the wrong room. As if this wasn't enough, he called a few minutes later and continued to yell. After I explained again that he had the wrong room, he hung up and did not offer any apology. I hope the manager will in the future visit the problem room and investigate the complaint before randomly dialing numbers and waking tired guests. This was the worst experience I have had in a hotel. If the manager had apologized in the morning or offered some sort of compensation, I would feel differently about the experience.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 8 of 13A bed and a shower....nothing more.
Crappy hotel, paper thin walls, bare bones accommodations. Close to Laguna Seca, which its only redeeming quality. Spend more money and stay someplace nicer.

Trip Type: Business Review 10 of 13So/so place, poor location
Photo is misleading. It looks like this is a quaint beachside hotel, but it's actually directly on the corner of a busy intersection in the parking lot between a Burger King and an auto repair shop. Not really somewhere you want to walk around to see sights. Staff was a little pushy and bathrooms and tv were small and old. Motel is not really easy to get to from the highway and is a ways from the Monterey attractions. If you want a cheap motel in a sort of run down area, this is the place.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 13 of 13needs improvement
hotel was a little shabby, blanket on bed extremely worn and bobbly, towels were tiny, so impossible to shower also in the shower was a wall mounted soap dispenser(economical maybe, but not nice).Hotel manager was a bit non communicative. For the money I have stayed in much nicer hotels.
