Our room was not ready on time with my 20 month old having traveled for 9 hours, yet we were asked if we wanted to upgrade to a higher floor. when we called the concierge, the phone rang at least 25 times and was on hold for over 4 minutes. there were no bath products in the shower upon checkout, I was not thanked or asked about my experience.

Hotel is very nice. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Location is also descent. We had to stay at the Hotel Nikko only because the other hotel we were staying at two nights prior was booked. The hotel charges you for everything! Internet in the room will run you $14.95 for every 24 hour period. To use the pool, sauna or fitness center they charge you an additional $10.00 per person, per day. Mini bar and in room water is very expensive. We just walked to Walgreens a block or two away from the hotel and bought water and snacks for a fraction of the cost. If money is no option then this is the place for you!

I booked a Deluxe King room and when I arrived I was told they were out of this type of room. I was told the room I got was considered "Deluxe" but without the King bed. The front desk staff and manager were unwilling to try and make things right at first. All I wanted was what I booked. They eventually gave us free internet access for the rest of the stay and said they could move me into the actual room I booked the next day. They offered this after about 15 minutes of wrangling at the front desk. The thing that disappointed me the most is how reluctant they were to try and correct the problem. I accepted the internet offer, but did not want to move all of my stuff again the next day. The kicker is our friends checked into a Deluxe room after us. After I saw the size of their room I knew, I was not booked in a Deluxe room like they said I was. I've stayed in many hotels nicer than this one. I frankly am unsure how they maintain such a high rating. The rooms are small as most rooms in San Francisco are, but they were poorly furnished with dinged up miss-matched furniture. I had several maintenance issues as well: curtain rod separated from curtains, bathroom sink handle was broken, the remote control for the tv only allowed you to "channel up" so you had to go all the way around or type in the channel number to return to a channel. Lastly, they have great HD tvs, but no high definition programming which in my opinion defeats the purpose of having the really nice, big flat screen tv. For the prices, they need to provide HD broadcasting. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Save your money.

The hotel has great security during the night. You need to use your key card in order to get it. The bad part of it was that you have to pay 45 dollars a night for parking. Considering the amount of money that you are paying to stay there the parking should be free. I rented 2 rooms, and in one of the room the rug had a lot of stains on them. The view is not that great at all.

Nikko should have spent some of its huge investment on larger, better furnished rooms instead of the acres of marble and glitz in the lobbies and hallways; the room was TINY, and the furnishings were cheap, worn, and inadequate.

Very lovely hotel. Felt like i was convincing an authority figure to let me into the school dance. i work in Sanfrancisco and live in Colorado, the man noticed my local phone number like it was some horrible thing. was given the run around about my dog witch i had previously called and found out the policy and was willing to follow. Would have never had this problem at any Kimpton!

The lobby was great with marble everywhere, but the room (outside of the flat-screen) was pure Holiday Inn. Stained carpets, a closet door that was off its rollers, chipped furniture, dirty windows and some insect(s) crawling on the baseboard. The hotel from the outside is 4-star; the room was 2+.

This is a very nice hotel in a very central part of town. I can see if people have the means to get one of the corner rooms on the top floor, and are more affluent than me, this is an awesome hotel. I am going to recommend it for my rich friends. They would love it. I on the other hand am on a budget, and Hotel Nikko did not meet my needs. The regular rooms have very thin walls. If I were to stay again I would get a larger more secluded room on the top floor. This is where technology kind of fails us. In the old days you had a giant tube TV in a giant heavy armoire. People watch Robocop at full blast, everyone is happy. Now we have mountable flat panel TVs, any sound or vibration goes directly from the TV into the wall which is shared by the adjoining room. The room next to us was watching a movie at normal volume, but I could hear all the bass of the TV through the wall. Parking is $50 a day after taxes. Seattle is only $25 in the heart of it, so I guess I was expecting less, but the alternative of parking it on the street and having homeless sleep in it is worse I guess. Just be ready for the parking thing. Other than those two things (important to me, however) the hotel was marvelous. Gorgeous interior, great location. The staff was so friendly. I was looking for a restaurant in Oakland that I wasn't really clear on the name, and they were scouring the phonebook and internet to help me. Oh yeah, the business center computers are $.50 a minute with a $15 minimum. Maybe I haven't been to the big city enough, but I find this unacceptable.

Tipo de viaje: Overnight Stay Reseña 11 de 53Nikko cool decor; Dirty Room
Our family arrived at midnight so i can understand the fact that the night clerk wouldn't be on his "game" but this guy was less than helpful and was very lazy. This hotel is not in the best part of town as we observed police officers right outside the hotel arrest someone. Although the location was a block or so from Powell St where we could pick up the trolley, it wasn't a safe area for us. The room was the most disappointment of our trip. The carpets were stained and left us feeling very uncomfortable. If the hotel were to keep up their rooms it would warrant a 4 star rating, but I would definitely rate it a 3 star at best! Nikko needs to get it together and clean up the place!!! So disgusting!

The was a bug!!! in my bed. while i was watching tv a bug came crawling down my pillow! I was switched to another room where there was curddled and spoiled ben and jerry's ice cream in the Mini bar. Stuck soo bad and the tv didn't work. Then i was switched a third time. Do you think they would have sent someone to get my bags.....no I had to move all my luggage to each room by myself! Horrible service...and they didn't even give me a free room or dinner! Don't ever stay there....horrible service I gave ever had.

I felt like they hooked me with their "take an additional 50% off" in this economy who doesn't like to save a little money. Only to be charged absorbent parking fees. Ordered room service and it never came, called ahead to have my car available at check out. It was never done. Was charged for items from the rooms refrigerator which I never took but was later reimbursed ultimately It wasn't worth it. To many headaches not worth the money spent even if it was discounted. Perhaps the service is why they discounted the rate or they don't give the service because they discounted they rate. Hotel Nikko is a sham!

I chose to stay in this hotel because it had a swimming pool and was located in the downtown area. The service from the staff was not very friendly and they charge to use the pool. If I had known that every amenity was going to cost extra I would have been happier in one of the cheaper hotels in the area. I would have gotten the same service and access to amenities. I mean they only had 10 channels on the TV. Not a luxurious experience in my opinion.
