Nice and convininient...But

I stayed at this hotel for one night during a layover this September 09, and I am not sure I want to come back. The bed sheets smell, funky, not fresh clean, they have a weird smell. Housekeeping start banging at your door at 8:00AM, they don't even announce themselves. That happened to me twice during my stay, and it was before 10:00AM. I could not believe that, when I asked the housekeeper after the second time, she only apologized and continued walking. If you have a noon flight the next day and plan to get a little rest at this hotel, forget it.

Better Hotels in the Area

Got to my room and other people were already in it. Front desk staff was very rude and could not have cared less about the fact that my 2nd room had a door that would not close properly and that my sink was backed up.

Tryout with this hotel failed ......

I was given the furthest room from the front desk...a hike to say the least. The shuttle took FOREVER to get to the airport...should have taken a taxi.....I checked in late...room was very warm...waited for it to cool....at 11:30 pm....didn't cool but didn't want to change rooms or call for someone when ready for bed and had to get up at 5:30 am....terrible, hot, muggy night...83 degrees in room at 6 am....Desk said "sorry"......breakfast was "so-so".....not near as nice as Embassy suites where you know that you will get the best. I thought I would try this less expensive hotel but I don't believe I will return........

Air Conditioning in the room left much to be desired.

And it is only May.

I won't stay there again!

The bathroom in the room did not work properly. I contacted maintenance who came in and "fixed" the problem. The toilet did not flush the entire time of my stay and I had to use the convention room restroom down the hall. They did not compensate me at all for the trouble I went through just to use the restroom.

Horrible Front Desk

My boyfriend and I see eachother for 3 days every other moth because he lives and works in London and I am currently based in Florida. I booked the hotel with my card in HIS name because his flight arrived an hour before I would get there. We both had identical confirmation receipts from hotels.com. When I arrived the dest attendent told me he had not yet checked in and re-booked me another room because she "could not find my reservation". My room was very nice, however I could not dial out on the phone (even after a service person came up to fix it). I called the front desk several times, still no sign of my boyfriend. Two and a half hours later I was totally fed up and went to the front desk to find out what was going on. She was about to call the surrounding Hawthorne Suites hotels when my boyfriend appeared behind me, very angry. He arrived three hours earlier and had been calling the front desk as well, looking for me. The front desk assured him that NO ONE had called for him or arrived at the hotel. One would think they must have had a change of shifts, blame different attendents. No. It was the same woman at the desk the whole time. Did they offer us a free night? No. Horrible customer service. I greatly value the little time I have with my boyfriend.
