Biggest room we've had in ages

Our king size bed did not even make a dent in all of the space that our room offered. By far the best room we've had in a long time. Would definitely stay here again.

Close to downtown, convenient shuttle

First time visit to Boston for 3 nights for our 25th Anniversary. Outside and lobby areas of hotel were very nice. King size bed was extrememly comfortable. We left our rental car in hotel parking lot and the hotel shuttle took us downtown and picked us up both Sunday and Monday. It was great. Minor Negatives: The ceiling in our room had been repaired very obviously. We smelled smoke in the hall outside our non-smoking room, (but not in the room). The neighborhood around the hotel was not nice - industrial and a bit run-down.

Needs some improvement

Three main comments: 1) There was some visible dust on the carpet, especially along the walls and under the air conditioner unit. 2) There was no ventilation in the bathroom to let the steam out--neither a fan nor a draw-vent. We wound up turning on the air conditioner just to remove moisture from the air. 3) The window did not open. (This would have helped clear the humidity.) Other than that, the bedding was comfortable and clean, and the staff were cheerful and attentive. It is located just a few blocks from one of the subway stations and along two "T" bus lines. At the same time, weather permitting (we are talking about Boston), it is a comfortable walk from the hotel to Harvard, MIT, and points inbetween.

convenience for a reasonable price

We stayed while visiting child in Cambridge and were pleasantly surprised. Hotel was very clean and bed was very comfortable. Area is convenient to universities and highways, and while not in the best part of Somerville the area did not feel unsafe. Parking is ample and free unlike many other hotels in the area.

Great customer service!!

The hotel exceeded my expectations in all areas. The front desk staff were extremely helpful, including locating where we were walking (and lost) and telling us how to get there. She also supplied us with extra coffee creamer when we asked and made sure we didn't need anything else. The hotel itself is very elegant looking and the room was very nice and comfortable.

Good for the money

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. Everyone was responsive to my needs. My room was comfortable too. I wouldn't recommend walking around the area at night, but during the day it is perfectly fine. While the prices in the restaurant were a little high, the dishes I ordered were good so I didn't mind paying a little more for them. I would stay here again.

Convenient, clean, and quiet.

Hotel was about 10 minutes from the airport (early AM, no traffic). Room was clean and nicely appointed. Did not hear another person or door slamming all night. I was there on a weeknight, which may contribute, but the staff and room service were prompt and courteous. Room service was very reasonably priced as well. Would consider staying again if in the Boston area.

Good location near the subway

It is a good location on the interstate and it is near to the orange line subway (about 10 minutes). It is a very good location if you drive with a car into boston and you have free parking.
