Trip Type: Not Provided Review 1 of 115"Looks can be deceiving"
My husband and I were celebrating our 1st Wedding Anniversary in Myrtle Beach, SC. From previous reviews, we pretty much thought that this hotel would be spectacular. We booked the a suit at this hotel. However, when we arrived we immediately received poor customer service. Although one of the staff members quickly apologize and tried to make it up to us throughout the course of our stay. The hotel rooms are very old. The carpet is old in the rooms. I was really disappointed with the kitchen appliances. Quite naturally it being our anniversary I really wanted to cook breakfast for my dear hubsand. Breakfast was a terrbile. The pots were poor quality, the kitchen stove was very old. The newest thing in the kitchen was the refrigerater. On a postive note the view of the hotel was beautiful. If you are looking for something cheap and pretty much serves the purpose then this is your spot. Otherwise I recommend staying at Corporate brand hotels that you are familar with such as Hampton Inn, Sheralton etc. All the hotels on Ocean Blvd looked a little old except for a couple. If you are going to stay on Ocean Blvd make sure you spend the extra money for quality rooms.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 115Great location but needs improvement
This was my second time staying at Patricia Grand. I love the location--very convenient to Broadway at the Beach and Beach Bumz, a favorite hangout. However, the beds were HARD (requested multiple blankets to soften the mattress). The room was not well cleaned (carpet dirty and "items" on the floor under the bed covers, etc.) I do like the ammenities (pools, sauna, outside hot tub). Front desk people were very nice and helpful. Housekeeping was not quick in responding to requests. If the beds were softer and the hotel a bit cleaner, I would stay there again.

Patricia Grand Resort Hotel in Myrtle Beach, SC. is in desparate need of improvement. I experienced the following problems while staying at the Hotel: room smelled of mildew, stains on bed comforter, stained carpet and furniture in guest room, torn window curtains. Room Attendants did not identify themselves when entering to clean room. Bed linen was not changed nor was floor cleaned by Room Attendants.

The hotel was centrally located. However there were holes around the outlets and cracks in the walls. We stayed on the 18th floor. Great views, but it tok 15 minutes for hot water. Would not reccommend.

hotel was ok for the money. almost all rooms have limited ocean view.you just able to look straight in front of you. balconies are not private at all.you always can see people on your left, right and down and they can see you .because hotel is build in a V shape.if you are in a middle of V,you will be visible to everybody .front desk people need to wake up and do their job.but one girl was helpful, name Amy.when i asked to talk to manager, instead of manager coming out i was told to go in and manager was sitting in a chair in her office, but there was no other chair.so I had to talk to her standing, while she was sitting. I think it is very rude and disrespectful. parking is something else .garage is so narrow that walls in it have scraps of all colors.if you are not good driver and have hard time parking in tight spots, this place is not for you.but over all we had good time there.good location, swimming pool, lazy river, hot tubs were fun.room cleaned every day.

I was in the room from Thursday until Sunday and did not get my room cleaned until Saturday afternoon, and this was only after me calling the front desk 8 times. A person from another department came in to clean the room because all the maids had gone for the day. There was no shower curtain in the room, this was a bad experience.

Old- outdated.. I reserved a king room.. They told me they did not have, unless I wanted to pay an additional fee.. Disappointed..

From the time I entered the hotel there were people getting stuck on elevator. The room was cramped and the plumbing was loud and slow. I had what they considered oceanfront but it was really was a ocean view.Kitchen was run down and they charge for everything ..even local phone calls. The parking was terrible with narrow paths to get to the next level and the pool was dirty. I would not reccommend this old run down facility until much upgrades were made.

The floor plan of the room was really spacious, however the room did NOT meet my cleanliness expectations. Although the room appeared tidy the carpet felt rather nasty when walking bare foot, the room also had a smell that was hard to get rid of. The couch was old and the back sunk in once you sat back in it. The outdoor patio furniture looked like it hadn't been cleaned in MONTHS. The resort really needs a good scrub down/cleaning restoration (carpet, bedding, etc..) in my opinion.

Let me start out by saying that these so-called resort facilities are nothing but traps to nickle and dime you to death.User fees, phone fees,in room safe fees, user taxes. No thanks.I will stay elsewhere next time. If you enjoy waiting forever for elevators, you will love this place. Also, the parking garage is somewhat of a nightmare. If you enjoy narrow parking spaces and a narrow area to drive through ascending from one level to the next, this is the place for you.You feel as though you are going to scrape the sides of your vehicle as you go from floor to floor trying to find a narrow space that is empty.Enjoy.

Where do I begin!? Rickety elevators on north side. The 4 hot tubs did not work. No rack to hang clothes on. Not a single picture on the wall of our room. The bathoom light was on a old timer, so it would only stay on a max of 30 minutes. No batteries in tv remote, and the power button on the tv was torn off. They were paining the top floors of the parking deck so I was told to park in the gravel area, which was fine, but when I came out the next morning, I had a warning on my car from the hotel telling me that lot was for trucks only. Whoever painted our room-a 3rd grader could do better. Even the peep hole was painted over!
