Crystal Inn & Suites Atlantic City Absecon

Only so so

Was the smallest hotel on the block. More of a motel, no amenities. We went with friends that stayed in another room and we all had the same complaint. Beds are sooo hard, very uncomfortable. I feel the room was over priced. It was OK for just the one night, but I wouldn't stay there again.

ok room for the money

Room was nicely furnished, well appointed, roomy, and clean and everything functioned as expected. Disappointment included continental breakfast which was hit or miss on basics such as coffee, OJ/apple juice and food choice for 3 mornings was doughnuts and jelly rolls. Walls are too thin to block out noisy neighbors at 1 am.

Not bad for an Absecon Dump

One of the clear dumps I've stayed at along the pike. Bed was SUPER uncomfortable but overall was a clean place. Walls must be paper thin because I could hear the couple next door like I was in the room.

needs improvement but can pass for price

Friendliness of service was poor. room cleanliness was poor. utilities was good, I got two double beds when i asked for a king and no type of apology was offered. But i guess you get what you pay for. lol

poor management

needs some organizing with how service done. I had to go to office to get my own supplies when they should of been in the room before we got there. For example t.paper & no clean towels. I came back to my room at 5.00P.M. and the room was not cleaned.

Poor Customer Service

customer servie was very poor. I was charged extra for two people. Owner/Manager of the hotel start knocking my door while I was sleeping. Very disappointed.

Won't go there again

The Crystal Inn's rooms were very nice and clean. Unfortunately the walls are very thin and there were very unsavory people in the next room. The people were up all night with what sounded like criminal discussions. I left early the second night when I saw that they were still there. I will never return.

Needs Improvement

While it is one of the newest motels it had major problems as follows: *Toilet did not flush solids *Minute button on alarm clock did not work *I had to move heavy marble topped bureau and bed stand to plug in lamps * Styrofoam cups are not exceptable for wine or any adult beverages

You get what you pay for

I wouldn't reccommend this hotel to anyone. The price was great but i felt like I was tying to get ripped off.

Horrendous Nightmare

On August 8, 2008 I booked a motel room at the Crystal Inn & Suites for two nights, and I made this booking on Hotels.com. The two nights that I bought and paid for via Hotels.com were August 8, and August 9th, 2008, with checkout Sunday morning August 10, 2008, which turned out to be an 11:00AM checkout as I found out from the motel owner/operator/manager when I checked in on August 8, 2008. Booking the room at the Crystal Inn & Suites turned out to be a horrendous nightmare and probably the worst experience I ever have encountered while traveling in my life. I checked into the motel Friday, August 8th around 9PM and when I checked in I showed the gentleman (which turned out to be the motel owner and operator) my reservation for two days, confirming my checkout for Sunday, August 10th. Everything at check in went fine and I received my room, and I reiterated to him that I have this room for two nights, Friday night and Saturday night. I woke up Saturday morning August 9th, and proceeded to spend my day playing poker in Atlantic City. After a long day of playing poker I returned to my room at the Crystal Inn & Suites around 5AM in the morning on August 10th. Once there I headed up to my room so I could get 6 hours of needed sleep. When I tried to enter my room I found out that my key card wouldn't open the door and I suspected then that my key card had only been coded for one day in error. A few moments later I hear noises in the motel room and an angry patron is pounding on the door of my motel room from the inside. The owner of this motel had sold my room to another patron, and the patron probably suspected someone was trying to break into his room. I was angry that I had paid for two nights and my room was given to another customer and that he put me in harms way like he did by not telling me that he sold my room to another customer so I went down to the office to let the manager and owner/operator know that I had paid for two nights and he had giv

Great flat screen HDTV! But...

Beds were very hard, and I wish I had known in advance that there would be work being done early on a Sunday morning. We were rudely awakened by loud banging against the wall we shard with the next room over, and power tools being used literally two feet from our door. This forced us out of the room and down the sidewalk to the continental breakfast, which was better than I expected! Lots of tasty danishes, donuts, coffee, juice, etc. There were a lot of flies in the room that I spent half the evening chasing around to get rid of, though my biggest complaint was the black mold that lined the shower curtain and tub. It smelled awful and is extremely unhealthy to breathe in. It wasn't awful, but with plenty of other inexpensive motels/inns within walking distance of this one, I wouldn't stay here again.
