Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 16Home of the $6 Bagel
Very nice hotel. Big, clean rooms. However, since there is no commercial district within walking distance, they gouge their guests at every opportunity. First morning, bagel and coffee cost me $10.50! Last meal I ate there. It's a shame, because it is a lovely hotel. Too bad they soak their guests unnecessarily.

Trip Type: Business Review 2 of 16Customer Service Should Matter More
My son was to report for duty for deployment to Iraq the following day @ so we requested a wake up call @ 5:30 AM and odered him room service @ 6:00 AM so that he could have a nice breakfast before leaving but we were awakened by the arrival of the breakfast which was ice cold and not eatable & the reason given was the distance from the kitchen to our room. After taking my son to armory. I recieved reciept for $65.00 for a late night cabana purchase that someone had charged to my room# I then recieved a wake up call @ 7:30 AM I eventually did get an apology from the opertor on the phone and the $65.00 taken off of my bill but my reason for staying at a nicer hotel on my son's last day with his family was lost.

This hotel is old and tired Scottsdale has many other better options. I paid extra for a 500-600sf room and was first put in a room about 300sf. I was moved after a phone call.

Trip Type: Business Review 5 of 16Online Pricing is Misleading
The online price looks good but resort fee and parking fee almost double all-in price.

Trip Type: Romance Review 7 of 16Failed to meet Expectations
From everything I had heard i expected much more. Many of the staff were rude and short with me, I guess if you are not older and do not show off money they dont care to have you stay. The thermostat in the room was pulled out of the wall, there was makeup on the wall in the bathroom, the fan was not working, the desk drawer was broken and missing. Overall I was extremely dissapointed.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 8 of 16Biltmore Disappoints
There are many great resorts in the Phoenix area; however, the Arizona Biltmore does not fall into that category. For a 4-5 star hotel, the room was not clean, particularly the bathroom (I'll let you imagine a bad scene), the carpet in the bedroom was covered in peanuts and leaves and a couple of other things. I called the front desk to report the issue and they assured me that the room would be "refreshed" by the time we returned from dinner. That did not happen. They did offer to move us to a room down the room, but at 10:00 at night, who feels like that and what was the guarantee that room would be better? The extra resort charge and self parking charge are ridiculous. The pool was a disaster. There were dirty dishes everywhere and no staff that would wait on you. I would not recommend this hotel if you are looking for a relaxing or fun weekend in Phoenix. Look elsewhere. I have stayed at the Biltmore many times over the years and I will not be coming back.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 9 of 16Expected More
My fiance and I recently stayed at the Biltmore for a wedding, and really the only things that were great about it were the hotel grounds (nicely maintained) and the size of our room (very spacious). Now, let me list the things that will keep me from staying at the Biltmore in the future..... very long line to check in. We felt like we were in Vegas or at the airport checking in for a flight. The hotel charged a "resort fee" even though we had paid all of our fees when the room was purchased online. I was told it was a standard charge for hotel amenities like the putting green and spa, which we didn't even use. Parking was $12 per night. Both times we went to the main pool, there were no clean towels available, and there were no open places to lay out by the pool. We had breakfast in the hotel cafe. The food was good, but the service was horrible. The rooms are pretty nice, but for what they charge, there could be some renovating and upgrades done. Sorry to sound like a negative nancy, but I had never stayed at the Biltmore, so I had expected a lot more considering the reputation. The resort didn't impress me at all, especially since they "nickle-and-dime" you to death. Look elswhere.

Trip Type: Romance Review 10 of 16Great hotel, too many extra charges
This hotel is one of the most beautiful places I have seen in Arizona. But there is a big problem, they like to charge you for everything. First of all know that they charge you $28 on top of what you already are paying for the room. Then they were very incompetent and charged us for the $50 of Food and Beverage that we were supposed to receive as gratis with the room. Then after all this they charged us for something else we know nothing about, we didn't take anything from the minibar. Overall great atmosphere, but poor practices.

Trip Type: Business Review 11 of 16So disappointed I expected more
This should have been an outstanding hotel with its brand and history but it turned out to be average 3 star at the most. No pens, paper, ice, towels and kind of dirty rooms. Room service was slow (45-and hour) then it was not very good. If you want ice you have to ask for it and it took about an hour to be delivered. Most of the food was not very good except at its finest restaurant. I don't understand such high resort fees for zero service, expensive self paring that was miles away from the room, and no towels at the pools. I would stay again but only if I were not paying full price.

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 16In need of major renovations...
Having stayed here before, my expecatations were that this 5* hotel would live up to my prior experience. This was not the case, from my very overcharged bill to the rooms that are rundown and in need of renovation to the pools that have numerous cracked and misisng tiles - I wouldn't stay here again until they invest some money into making this a true 5* resort. The grounds are kept very beautiful and are worthy of a visit, but not a stay.

Trip Type: Romance Review 13 of 16Overpriced and Overly kid-friendly
Where to begin? Cons: Requested non-smoking room and was given a "non-designated" room which smelled like smoke. Gardeners with leaf blowers outside room before 9 AM... Five dollar Starbucks coffee; no ice anywhere near room; Poolside chairs all taken before 9 AM, got stuck in shade far away from pool. Tons and tons of children running and yelling everywhere. Overpriced for poor service, wasn't told about $10 nightly self-parking fee until the bill came. Concierge didn't know what "sushi" was when we asked about nearby restaurants. Pros: food was decent, beautiful landscaping. Overall - awful for romantic getaway, great if you have kids and money to waste.

Trip Type: Business Review 14 of 16Beautiful Hotel -Room was average
I thought the hotel itself was beautiful. Ground and landscaping were very nice and something to see. I was disappointed in my room. It was clean, but I felt like it was dark and dreary. For the money, I was expecting much more. I
