Stay on the North Shore

My wife and I were disappointed in this hotel. All the hotels on Waikiki were on top of each other, and your balcony could easily look into your neighboring hotels balcony. The beach itself was crowded, the pool area looks like a motel pool, and the rooms had paper thin walls that could hear every noise from the hallway or next door. It seemed they had 2 elevators for the entire building. There were times when we felt we were on South Beach and not Waikiki with all the Neon Lights, Cabs and People in the Street. My wife and I drove to the North Shore, and that felt much more like a vacation... we wish we had enough warning not to stay on Waikiki, and instead, book a resort on the North Shore. If you are coming from Maui, be ready for a shock... it is very crowded and conjested on the South Side as any large city on the mainland around Waikiki.

Uncomfortable Rooms

Rooms were small and the beds very uncomfortable. For the price, I would stay at a different hotel on Waikiki Beach.

Great staff but rooms need work

We had to look at 6 rooms before we found one that was acceptable. All smelled damp but the higher up you went the better it got. The staff were great though and worked through our issue with us to find us a good room. Walking out of the hotel onto the beach is a real plus.

Way too loud

The other reviews were right -- you can hear absolutely EVERYTHING in the rooms next door. Yes its Waikiki so one should expect it to be loud and touristy but it was too much. The pool/beach situation was ridiculous -- as in not nearly enough space and the pool is way too deep for small kids. Would never recommend this for families with small children but teenagers would probably love it as you're in the middle of everything. Overall, disappointing but in line with expectations based on other reviews.
