Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 6Attractive, good location, but not too comfy
The hotel location was perfect - steps from the T line and the decor was very interesting. Our room was very small but functional. The biggest problem was the bed. At 5'1" it was very difficult for me to get in and out of the bed due to the height of the mattress. Also, the room was located in the old fire house portion which meant that every time a T train approached or left the station the entire room rumbled and the outside noise was fairly loud - we were on the 3rd floor. The 'firehouse' breakfast was good but the dining area carpet was very stained giving the appearance that the room was not clean. Overall for the special price it was not bad but I would not consider staying there again, especially for the regular room rate.

Trip Type: Business Review 3 of 6Service lacking
Staff didn't seem to be happy to be there at all. Treated without respect multiple times. They could have cared less about their guests as far as I could tell. I won't be back, that's for sure, and I thought this on day one.....and it was confirmed on day two. And reconfirmed on day three.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 4 of 6Basically a 2 star hotel at best
wonderful breakfast! but very noisy room in the old part of hotel when I specifically asked for a quite as possible room! Nice people in management, but very poor service! room extremely small and no air conditioning! way too much money for a bed and breakfast type of experience!

Trip Type: Business Review 5 of 6Not what I expected
I fell the photos and info on hotels.com and the Kendall Hotel website were misleading. I had one of the firehouse rooms and was grateful I was traveling alone since it was very small, reminscent of European rooms. The bathroom was spotless but I found the bedroom shabby. The bed was uncomfortable and the walls thin so it was noisy even at 3 am.I believe there is a new tower and maybe those rooms are better. When you enter the hotel the floor is cement and has many holes or gouges present. The downstairs is full of old furniture like one would find in a student union area on campus. The breakfast buffet was OK.It is diretly accesible using the redline and there is a Legal Seafoods across the street. I was disappointed but if you must stay in the MIT area for an overnighter and are alone it was sufficient.

I incorrectly assumed parking would be included in this pricey overnight stay. Food was outstanding but service left something to be desired. I was served my beer in a bottle and had to wait a good 15 min. before my glass was brought to me. The water was tepid, a couple of small pieces of ice were noted in my daughter's water. The waitress mixed up the desert order.
