Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 15dead fly
dead fly on pillow, did not wash glasses or cups(just restacked them), room and hallways had awful smell, food/garbage in hallways uncollected. one good thing was Front desk Staff was outstanding. I should have just stayed in a one star hotel at 1/3rd the price...

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 3 of 15Arctic Hotel's housingkeeping needs improvement
I was surprised that such a well kept hotel in a great part of town would have such bad housekeeping practices. They did not vaccuum, did not wash the bathtub, did not replenish the coffee/tea display, and did not pick up dirty cups in the room. We had a whirpool bathtub, but could not use it the second or third night because they did not wash out the tub. Very disappointing.

This is an old hotel. Rooms are extreemly small. The location is fair. For the price they charge there are many better options.

Staff was very friendly. Room could have been a little bigger for the price. We caught Seattle during a heat wave and needed the A/C the whole time. It was deafeningly loud and ineffective. Our room also had super bright reflections coming in from the sunlight and other buildings. Right on the edge of bad part of town. You can walk straight down to the beachfront but don't walk east.

Trip Type: Romance Review 7 of 15Stop By the Bar, Don't Stay Overnight
I was really sold on this hotel by their outstanding website. History just oozed out of their every description, plus the perks sounded fun as well -- Kiehls in the bathroom? Sign me up! Unfortunately, we were provided with Neutrogena products that were then not even topped up for our second night's stay. The bar and lobby have a great, historic club feel and I would recommend their drink list to anyone. Ultimately the room, amenities and location all fell short. Save your money and stay closer to downtown and reserve this outing for drinks after your tour of the Underground.

Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 15Needs new Interior Designer
Maintaining a classic look with a brighter atmosphere would appeal more to a guest. The hallways are too dark and spooky for kids. The blue doors don't match the walls. The bathroom is big, with new fixtures. The beds are very comfortable. "Pressed" coffee and a selection of tea was very impressive. The kids were scared of the portraits of Chief Seattle above the headboards.

Ok rate, but not 4-Star quality. Evening Valet not present on arrival. Locked out of Hotel, then room by non-functioning keycard. Porter no-show on departure. Limited meal service and no room service. But, Bar Tender and Day Valet fantastic.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 10 of 15Hotel Renovation Flawed
The Arctic Club hotel renovation is very well done, for the most part, and the staff and service are great. However, the rooms are very, very small and the lighting is terrible. It is impossible to see in the bathrooms. If you are a woman, you can forget trying to put on your makeup.

Trip Type: Business Review 11 of 15Nice room, but no breakfast available
I really liked the room, but I had arranged to meet a business colleague there for breakfast. Despite the fact that the material in the room stated that breakfast was available in both the Juno restaurant and the Polar bar, both were closed and deserted. The staff just seemed embarassed, and rattled of a few local places. I really think that given that this aspires to be an upscale hotel it should at least be able to do what any motel can do and offer breakfast. This is a nice place that has the feel of a hotel just about to go out of business.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 13 of 15Worst Night Spent in Seattle
We recently went to Seattle to see a Mariner's game. We decided to stay at the Artic Club Hotel because it was the closest availible to the field (.5 miles). Like another reviewer, we found the walk to be quite creepy after the game. Plus, the hotel was under going repairs to the main elevators. This made it inconvienant to use. Then, as if that wasn't enough, at 3:00 in the morning we had the pleasure of being awakened by the fire alarm. Then were awakened again at 7:00 due to neighbors through the paper thin walls. The only good thing that we experienced while we werer there was the Juno Restaraunt inside the hotel. We found this to be good, but expensive like the rest of Seattle.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 14 of 15Nice but not my cup of tea
The hotel is nice, and interior is new and clean. The decor was drab and too masculine for my taste (black and white photos of men's club members, stiff white collars used as decor items, browns, tans, and some hints of bright blue). Be ready for street noise; I wore earplugs, which helped. Valet parking was pricey in my opinion, although staff members were all courteous. We didn't realize the Continental breakfast had a fee, and received an unpleasant surprise at the end of our meal. To the staff's credit, they waived the charge after we brought to their attention that we were not told (nor did we see any sign indicting) that there was a fee. Bed was very comfortable. Coffee at the Continental breakfast was excellent.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 15 of 15Not Quite Ready
The Arctic Hotel is a brand new and has some kinks to work out. The rooms are beautiful and the beds were great. However, every shower I took was at best luke warm. This was a problem since it can get pretty cool in Seattle at night and you look forward to a warm shower. I was concerned about the location because I didn't feel real safe walking in the area at night. Especially coming back from the stadium area. There seemed to be a lot of homeless people roaming around in the area and there are a couple shelters a few blocks away. I believe this hotel could be good, but as of right now it is not worth the price
