Sun Tower Hotel & Suites on the Beach

great vacation

We had a great stay at this hotel. We spent a weekend in a king size room overlooking the ocean with a small but adequate balcony. It was great hearing the surf at night and seeing the sun rise in the morning. They provide free chaises and hammocks on the beach which is literally steps from your door. The parking is free and you aren't walking distance to much so you need a car or taxis. we liked the hotel so much that after a few days in the keys, we came back to it for a week. That time we stayed in a king suite which was very spacious and again overlooks the ocean. All the rooms overlook the ocean. Will go back!

great vacation

We found this hotel on hotel.com and were extremely pleased with it. It is not fancy with la ti da amenities but the rooms are very clean and large. The parking is free and the beach chaise lounges and umbrellas are free as well. They keep extra towels in the rooms instead of the skimpy 2 that many hotels allow. We stayed for 3 days and then went to Key Largo for a few days. We hadn't decided what we planned to do for the next week. We decided to just go back to the Sun Tower. The first stay we were in a regular room but the 2nd stay we were in a suite with a very nice living area and kitchen. All rooms face the ocean. The balconies are just wide enough for a couple of chairs but it was incredible hearing the ocean at night and having the sun come up right onto your balcony.

Great Hotel

This is a great hotel. Great location. Right on the beach. Spacious rooms. Attentive staff. Good parking. Great value. Two drawbacks: (1) Wireless internet is spotty in the rooms due to heavily constructed walls. Good reception in the open-air corridors. They do provide a PC and printer in the common area. (2) Limited TV channels. Our daughter was in tears that there was no Nickelodeon or Disney. Experience the same problem at another Fort Lauderdale hotel.

Beyond my expectations!

I had a WONDERFUL stay at this quiet little hotel. And exquisite view and outstanding customer service. We stayed one night and were treated as if we were staying a week. The front desk staff was wonderful and the room perfect! Much larger than I expected and with the perfect view of the ocean! I didn't want to leave, but I will DEFINITELY be back!

Unbeatable for the Price

A clean affortable hotel with ocean view in a safe area with the beach outside the lobby. Hotel furnished free chairs and umbrella. No breakfast is provided.

Great Hotel and Great Price

My family and I stayed here for two nights. It is actually right on the beach like it is advertised. The ocean view from our room was beautiful. The room was clean, the beach was clean and the service was good too. The other occupants were nice and friendly. Just regular middle-class Americans on vacation. The building is dated and could use some updating and there was some construction going on while we were there during the days. But overall, I have to say it was a very nice and relaxing stay.

Very nicely redone

This hotel does not make the greatest first impression. It is an older smaller hotel between two very big new hotels. The service was good room was large beautiful beach view.

Super staff, affordable and right on the beach!

Very satisfied. Potential customers should know that this property is entirely non-smoking even on the balconies. Violation is a $250.00 fine. You may only smoke in the parking lot or on the beach.

Great View!

We stayed at Sun Tower one night before our cruise. I picked this because of the great price and ocean front view. We were pleasantly surprised by the great service and beach front view. There is no bar or resturant on site but there is a guy who cooks on site which was really good! I definetly would stay again.

Great Get Away

Very convenient location, right on beach with suites very comfortable (frig, sink, table). Construction a little annoying. Upon check in very little information about hotel and area without proding although service was friendly. Suites came with a twin pull out and a sofa pull out which accomadated three children nicely. Overall great stay.

Parking

The parking situation was a bit hectic but other than that it's a good hotel to stay at since it is oceanfront.

Review of SunTower

Other than the pariking it was great, really clean and comfortable. All areas around the pool, decks on beach were immaculate. Very convient to restaurants and shopping. The location was great as it didn't take long to go anywhere, and the beach was not crowded or nasty. For families who wish to have appropriate dress on the beach and a nice family area this is the place. I din't like that you cannot smoke even on your balcony, otherwise it was very nice.

Great oceanfront location for the price!

This hotel is smaller and older than the surrounding hotels but it is a great deal and the rooms are clean, the staff is great, and they provide free beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels which was very convenient. The only thing I was not pleased with was that the "pool guy" only came every other day and I wish they had cleaned it everyday because of the sand people got in there and leaves and bugs that would get in there. The view from the room is awesome and I would absolutely recommend this hotel as a great value for the price. Parking is limited but the staff is very helpful in making sure you have somewhere to park.
