Trip Type: Business Review 4 of 27Sub Par for a Hilton
I've stayed at Hilton hotels all over the world and I must say that my experience with this particular Hilton left much to be desired. First, I never recieved the daily copy of the USA today that was included in my hotel rate. I really enjoy catching up on the days news via the USA today, and it wouldn't have been so bad had it not been included in my room rate. Second, the condition of the bathroom in my room was deplorable. There were sevral cracks in the tub and wall tile, the shower curtain rings were rusty and backwards, the toliet ran constantly, and the hair dryer that came with the room was so old and in such poor shape that it constantly overheated. It took me an hour to blowdry my hair vice the usual 20 minutes. The room itself was ok, the best part being the view of Biscayne Bay. The bed was very comfortable, but the sheets were a bit itchy. There were no noticeable stains on the carpet and the room amenities were fine (although I'd rinse out the glasses before I'd use them due to the dust/miscelaneous debris on the bottom). The staff I encountered at the Hilton was a mixed bag of managers, front desk personnel, and waiters who truly responded to the needs of their guests and/or were slow or flat out unresponsive to guests needs. For example, the first night of my stay I ordered an appetizer and salad for dinner. It took at least 30 minutes for my salad to emerge from the kitchen, long after the arrival of my appetizer (I stated to my server that I wanted the salad first then the appetizer). I thought salads were pretty quick and simple to make, but judging by the time it took for me to recieve my order, you'd think the lettuce was being grown in the back! The 'happy hour' at the hotel wasn't happy at all. 4 coconut shrimp cost the same as a regualr sized coconut shrimp appetizer at a regular restaurant, except you recieve half the serving. I was under the impression that half price appetizers meant half the price listed on the menu, turns out the menu p

Trip Type: Business Review 6 of 27Great Room, NOT Parking
I stayed here since I had an event downtown. I hope I will not have to stay here again for any reason. The Hilton has yet to work out an agreement for shared parking in the 8 floor garage connected to their hotel. You're left to pay $6.00 an hour even as a guest or $28 for valet all day service. Being that I stayed 4 nights I was not too happy with this information. Remind you that this is downtown so you must be very aware of your surroundings but, not extremely dangerous. The room was very nice & the view was gorgeous & it managed to calm me down from my parking dilemma. Next time I'd rather stay somewhere with free parking & drive downtown.

Trip Type: Business Review 7 of 27Hidden charges
The Hilton has hidden charges that you are informed about after checking in, such as $40 day for parking.

The luggages should not be taken from the quests without asking first. It took too long to deliver the luggage. The service at the dining room was less than expected.

just completed my visit to this hotel. It is very conveniently located , few minute drive from south beach, key Biscayne and airport.I was aware of construction going on in hotel. The rooms were big and spacious. However the air conditioning was horrible. It used to make loud noise everytime it turned on as if some heavy metal was falling. Bed mattress badly needs to be replaced as they were very uncomfortable.Lobby area is pretty good.Service was decent and parking in hotel is expensive.

Just to let everyone know that this hotel was just purchased by "Hilton." It was a no-name hotel. It is in big need of updating. They are updating the outside but the inside is not up to par.

The hotel is pretty old and is nothing better than a place to sleep at night. The staff was not friendly. On Sunday when we checked out the 3 of the 4 elevators were not working as a result I (and most of the guests) had to come down the stairs carry the bags ( I was on the 10th floor). Not only that, but they charged me $25 for parking even though I called ahead of time and they said there was no charge. I will never go back there

Trip Type: Romance Review 13 of 27Lowsy
No one told us that there was gonna be construction going on. There was loud drilling from sunup to basicly sundown. There were a a number of racist valets that kept overlooking me and my husband and taking other peoples car. Until i went off. For the money, it was not worth it. We were better off staying at home.

This hotel was fine- but they failed to tell me that there was construction. I got zero sleep and although they refunded the cost of the room, I was traveling for work and would gladly have paid double in order to have a good night sleep. They should have notified me prior to my stay.

The first night we stayed there all the vending machines were out of service. We checked all the floors. The second time we stayed there the line to check in was very long. It took us about 30 mins to check in. Then they only had 2 elevators that were working to take all the guests to their floors. Our air conditoner banged and clanged when we turned it on. The bathroom light kept turning on by itself.
