A genuine experience: a trip back in time.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 400Magnificent hotel and staff
The staff is always exceedingly courteous and helpful. Winston's restaurant is one of the best I've ever dined at, and I make a point to dine there every time I stay on the Queen Mary, which is several times a year. I highly recommend this hotel.

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 400Great time overall
We were impressed with the view of long beach from the little porthole windows. Parking should have been included with stay. We ate a restaurant there and they put meat in my dish after i ordered a dish w/o meat (i'm a vegetarian) but they quickly remedied the situation and did not charge me for the dish. My only issue was that my husband left a sweater in the closet of our room and getting it back has been near impossible (its been four days and I have not gotten a definitive answer as to the whereabouts of said sweater.) So overall a great time, just don't leave anything behind!

Trip Type: Romance Review 7 of 400A great old ship
Staying on the Queen Mary, was like staying in a Maritime Museum. We enjoyed the room, and all of the original hardware. We paid to take a tour of the ship, which for the small price, was WELL worth it. We had dinner in the Ship's Seafood Restaurant... very likely the best seafood we have ever had.

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 400Unique Experience...little more
Not for those who are used to comfortable hotel rooms. Not terribly convenient to the convention center. I'd recommend anybody to try it, but not for more than a night or two.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 9 of 400What Great History
We weren't sure what to expect given the ship's age, but everything was outstanding! The staff was wonderful. The room had the biggest bed we've ever slept on. Everything was extremely clean. The food at the restaurants was great. It really was like stepping back into the elegance of the first cruisers. We were able to tour the engine room and the historical presentations were extremely interesting. we highly recommend this hotel and would love to go back again.

Trip Type: Business Review 10 of 400Fun place to stay
We booked a night at the Queen Mary Hotel because we planned to meet a friend for dinner. She has two small children. The staff in the dining room was accommodating and seemed to enjoy the girls. We had a great time wandering around the ship and looking at the views. The room was clean, the bed perfect. A little noisy because of the man next door who kept laughing and clearing his throat, but not bad at all.

Trip Type: Romance Review 12 of 400Charming and Historical
This is a great hotel to stay at for only a night or two unless you book one of the larger rooms. The standard room for 2 occupants was very small, not much larger than the double bed but it was very charming and being on The Queen Mary at least once is a definite must do experience. They gave us the bay view which was very nice and I got perfect photos of the sunrise and the bay. The Cafe Promenade was elegant, the twilight tour was fascinating and the little shops are very charming. You must pay to park and use the internet (the computer doesn't have a mouse only a ball for scrolling and keys that are for a click of the mouse but are not identified). There is not much water pressure in the shower but it is a charming tub and bathroom, the whole history of the ship is fascinating. The free public shuttle (bus) will take you right from the parking lot to the Aquarium, Shoreline Village, and up Pine Ave where there are a few shops and restaurants.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 13 of 400Great for history buffs. The exhibits of QM's artifacts are fascinating.
Original burled wood panels, polished brass hand rails still in use as well as exhibits of the ship's china and cabin furniture make an interesting living history site.

Trip Type: Business Review 14 of 400Excellent value
It is a fun adventure to stay aboard the Queen Mary. The upgraded room (due to booking with Hotels.com) was excellent. The bar is fun, the Promenade Cafe has good food and service. Negative: The AC is a bit on the noisy side and can not be shut off.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 15 of 400Premium Hotel Experience
The best rooms on the Queen Mary are the restored state rooms, which have magnificent wood paneling and authentic fixtures. I love the portal windows and the cabin ambiance of the rooms. They are very romantic and quiet. The long hallways remind me of the hotel from the shining, which is really fantastic if you're on the Queen Mary ghost hunting. The staff has always been exceedingly kind and helpful to me, especially Virginia at the front desk.
