Terrible customer service

I think that grounds of the hotel was absolutely beautiful. I am not going to blame the people working there, since Bali has in overall wonderful people. The management is to blame, here are some examples: our room was pretty but it stunk it had a moldy smell that attached itself to our clothes. On our fourth complaint they finally took us seriously and moved us to another room (also in their defense they washed all our clothes, but who wants that???). Secondly, we wanted to venture outside the hotel we asked for a recommendation and we were told that it was against hotel policy! What?! We had them make reservations at another hotel's restaurant, we got charged for the call. It is not about the money but the principal of it. We were at the pool, we needed towels, we must have asked 5 people we never got the towels. No one was able to tell us that you had to go to a special place to get us towels. We stayed in Bali for ten days and split it in three hotels. Thank goodness bc honestly i would have had a much different vacation if i had only stayed at the melia.
